Hello there, I’m Kyrzia Parker (she/her), MSW, LCSW, CDWF and I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. I have worked with a variety of clients who have struggled with ongoing mental health concerns and specializes with those currently struggling with shame. I am a Certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF). The Daring Way is an empirically based training and certification program for helping professionals, based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown.

Lys-An is an MFT-C working from Castle Rock, Colorado. She obtained a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from the University of Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont California in 2004. She has several trainings and certificates including EMDR, Gottman Level 2, EFT, and RLT. Lys-An believes developing loving, secure and confident relationships with ourselves and those we cherish, rooted in integrity and compassion is life's most meaningful pursuit. The high vale inherent in these relationships can make connection difficult. It is in this struggle that we can grow into our best selves.

Hopelessness, anxiety, rage, confusion, shame, loss and depression are an overwhelming place to be. Experiencing those things can make us feel isolated and alone. We were not made to go through the hardest parts of life on our own. That’s where I come in. If you will allow me to walk alongside you we can find a place of healing and joy together.

Anger, resentment, loneliness. What happened? This was not the plan. It was supposed to be different…better. The desire for relief from the hurt evokes thoughts of escape. But, if you follow that path the price-tag for everyone seems too great! But the fact is, this relationship isn’t working. The thought “I can’t keep doing this” is coming more often. Things need to change, but how? After trying everything else, nothing’s really better. It feels hopeless. Yet, the truth is, it’s not hopeless. Many couples go through similar difficulties and struggles, and there is help that can heal and restore your relationship.

The clients whom I am best suited to treat are people who have stress in their life and want something to change. Everyone deals with difficult things in life. Whether it is job stress, divorce, moving, family struggles, loss, parenting, financial stress, or any other life stresses. You don't have to feel stuck and overwhelmed. Depression, worries, and feeling tired go hand in hand with life stress. You don't have to figure it all out by yourself.

I specialize in anxiety, depression and stress counseling for adults and teens. My approach uses Buddhist psychology, ideas from yoga, mindfulness and mind-body perspectives to help people "befriend" their minds, control their thoughts and develop a stable sense of inner peace and calm.

I believe the therapeutic experience should be one of finding clarity, feeling heard, and being empowered. Therapy should not be a place where you are told you are broken and need to be fixed. I’ll encourage your own curiosity and non-judgement, even (especially) toward the things that you might not like about yourself.
