I work with teens and adults who feel overwhelmed by everyday life—management, motivation, transitions, relationships, and self-regulation—often with overlaps in school pressures. They’re capable, motivated, and ready to turn chaos into clarity. Together we uncover core challenges and build practical, strengths-based strategies for daily living, decision-making, and goal achievement. I use research-based assessments to guide support and pinpoint the root causes, so interventions target what truly helps you thrive.

Are pregnancy or parenting feeling a little different than you thought they would? Do you find yourself so worried about your baby, or too overwhelmed to even look at your to-do list? Are you struggling with mom guilt? Maybe you're not feeling the joy you expected when you decided to become a parent. Or maybe your parenting journey hasn't gone the way you expected: maybe you're facing infertility, pregnancy complications, a NICU stay, or pregnancy loss. You might also have other concerns related to parenting or mental health, like navigating body image for yourself or with your older child.

Overthinking, criticizing yourself and your body, feeling anxious and insecure yet masking it, overworking and overachieving, and being so fearful of disappointing others is an exhausting way to live. Can you imagine if you weren't so driven to people-please, perfect, or perform for others and lived with an unshakeable belief that you are fundamentally enough? If in a life transition, consider yourself a highly sensitive person, or are simply interested in personal development, I'm here for that too. Let's get to the roots of things, shift stuck patterns, & make transformation happen together!

Why horses? Often times we feel stuck or unsure how to move forward, how to cope, how to communicate, or how to connect. Horses provide the opportunity for humans to explore and discover their abilities to do all of those things by providing authentic bio-feedback. The truth is, horses don’t lie! In providing bio-feedback, human partners become self -aware, as well as identify ways to cultivate a meaningful, empathic, and reciprocal relationship, become more mindful, regulate where needed, and eventually create healthier thought and behavior patterns.

You're doing a brave thing here—looking for someone to help you overcome your challenges. I believe Love is at the heart of Life, though it gets covered up by painful experiences, the body's trauma responses, and our attempts to not feel that pain. We spend most of our energy avoiding overwhelming wounds and feelings. That's intelligent for getting on with life, but it doesn't address the core pain we feel when we're quiet, when we're alone, and when we're uncertain. Seeking support is a sign of wisdom—you know things can be different, you know you can feel whole and deeply happy, you're just not sure how to rest there.

A lot of us might think a joyful life means keeping it all together, smiling through it all-but real life is way more textured than that. Some days are smooth sailing; others feel like wading through oatmeal (and hey, I like oatmeal-but not enough to swim in it). My goal isn't to help you avoid the hard stuff, but to help you move with it, grow through it, and even find moments of lightness and humor along the way.

Therapy doesn’t have to suck, and you don’t have to drag yourself through change. Most of my clients feel like they're basically doing well, but that “one thing" keeps showing up, and at some point, they got a sense that it was finally time to get this thing sorted out. Like them, maybe you feel stuck, frustrated by habits and patterns in your life or relationships, pulled down by depression or buzzing with anxiety, overwhelmed by emotions, or totally numb. Whatever it is, we're not just trying to put you under a microscope. I'm a real human being, and I really believe that together, we can create meaningful change in your life.

I work with clients to help them understand and heal the parts of their personalities that are causing them pain and problems. Whether it is anxiety, depression, rage, overeating, relationship issues, or any other symptom, our parts are involved. Our parts, ultimately, have positive intentions and are, in their own way, trying to help us. When a part becomes entrenched and extreme, it can force us to act and think in ways that make us feel miserable. By having compassion for our parts and helping them heal, we enjoy more connection, serenity, success, and peace.

You’ve followed all the rules and done everything ‘right,' but you still feel like something’s missing… and maybe, like something’s wrong with you. You’ve spent years trying to be who others needed you to be. You’ve pushed down your feelings, hidden the messy parts, and tried to be “good.” But lately, that old strategy is wearing thin. You’re tired of the mask, tired of feeling stuck, and wondering if this is really all there is. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you, it’s about helping you see that you were never broken. You don’t have to perform or pretend here.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.
What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?
Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
