Connection, compassion, hope, and change are the guiding principles of Every Story Counseling, private practice of Dr. Greg Johnston housed within the Playroom Lubbock. Greg practices from the belief that importance should be given to the client's current story, but that most importantly hope exists for everyone to write new pages and chapters.

I see clients including adolescents or adults who struggle with anxiety, depression or trauma. I also collaborate with and empower clients who have eating disorders or struggle with body image. I offer psychotherapy in Lubbock in person or in Texas through Zoom. I aim to exceed client's expectations for a full and productive life. My personal approach is to practice radically open acceptance of my client through validation, while also expecting change and personal growth. This is particularly important for individuals who have intense emotions along with ineffective coping skills. We can change that.

Being 16–35 comes with a lot! Pressure to succeed, pressure to figure out your future, pressure to keep up. It’s exhausting. I work with young adults who feel stuck, anxious, or lost in all that noise. My goal is simple: to help you build confidence, find clarity, and start moving forward in a way that feels doable.
Our work together isn’t about quick fixes or perfection. It’s about real conversations, simple steps, and creating rhythms that bring relief and progress. You don’t have to have it all figured out right now. You just need a space to breathe, get perspective, and discover what’s right for you. That’s the space I create.
