If we allow them to, anxiety, stress, and uncomfortable feelings can run our lives. My passion lies in helping you to find freedom and movement from these uncomfortable feelings rather than stagnation and suffering. Together, we will explore how you respond to uncomfortable feelings and find healthier, more productive and more genuine ways of responding that fit with your values in all areas of your life.
I am trained in mindfulness-based therapies that encourage full engagement in your life (yes, even in the uncomfortable moments). I specialize in disordered eating and body image issues and perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mood and anxiety disorders.
I am trained in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), both of which are mindfulness-based therapies offering behavioral change based on values and effectiveness. Both therapies offer concrete skills and frameworks which can help you to live a more intentional and full life.
