The thought about talking to a stranger about what’s going on is terrifying. When the process involves an honest conversation about symptoms, family problems, and addiction or other “shameful” family secrets, it can keep anyone from healing. You were taught to keep it to yourself and not cause trouble. To not air family secrets and that emotions are dramatic and useless. Especially the biggest of all- grief. There is nobody that gets to escape grief in this process. It's a myth that any of it has to be painful or overwhelming. And struggling with feelings or needing to heal doesn't make you weak.Nobody taught you how to do this.

There are times in everyone's life when we feel stuck, unsure, or worried about what we need to do to get our life moving forward in a positive direction. I work with clients to create an emotionally safe environment in which to explore your options and help you draw upon your inner resources to regain balance, energy, and focus.

Are you exhausted from trying to balance your family's expectations with your own dreams? Maybe you're the "good" daughter or son who's losing yourself in the process. You're navigating two cultures, wondering where you fit, and tired of feeling like you're never enough. You want to build genuine confidence, set boundaries without guilt, and figure out who YOU are beyond what everyone expects. Whether you're neurodivergent, first-generation, or simply trying to find your voice, you deserve a space where your whole experience is understood and valued.

First of all, I work for you. I am a hired consultant with specialized skills and expertise in certain areas with one goal...to make your life better. Often, however, getting to better takes some doing from both of us. This partnership, which is called the therapeutic relationship, is at the core of good psychotherapy. As such, I do not judge clients and do not look at things in terms of good or bad, right or wrong, should or shouldn't. Instead, I consider things in context of either constructive or destructive in moving towards the goal of making your life better in the ways you are seeking.

Parental Burnout is real. The Surgeon General recently advised that parenting stress is an urgent public health issue, reporting that two-fifths of parents feel so stressed that they cannot function. I support exhausted parents of children with brain-based disabilities, complex medical challenges, and sensitive nervous systems. We collaborate to find access to deep rest and spaciousness in your system, even if nothing in your outer environment changes, and we will identify ways to increase your capacity while acknowledging the very real lack of resources available to caregivers.
