I have over 19 years of extensive experience treating civilian, public safety and military personnel & their families. In addition, my practice is focused helping couples and individuals experiencing significant transition challenges. I believe that through a brief solution-focused approach, stress can be reduced and more meaningful relationships can be achieved.

My focus in counseling is to help you through the process of change. If you are struggling as a parent and want to learn strategies beyond medication to help your child be more successful, I can help. I am also a trauma specialist and strive to help clients work through depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, abuse, anger, addictions, and other challenging life situations. EMDR and 22Zero is used to help clients "reprocess" traumas and other disturbing life events to help clients move beyond the negative emotions and dysfunctional thoughts that are connected with past events.

I am a licensed psychologist located in Cedar Park. In addition to forensic, spinal cord, bariatric, and law enforcement evaluations, I also provide psychotherapy to adults, couples, and children.

Much of my work includes body-oriented psychotherapy, using non-touch, somatic grounding and stabilization techniques. I work well stabilizing physiological responses and sensations due to thoughts, emotions, and relational interactions. Create balance and ignite your energy!

I specialize in work with children, adolescents, and their caregivers, and have served as President of the Texas Association for Play Therapy and Clinical Editor for Play Therapy Magazine. As a parent myself I understand that raising children can be challenging, and I am passionate about supporting families in realizing their full potential for love, growth and peaceful relationships. I use evidence based practices to facilitate empowerment, self-control and healing through play, artistic expression, and sandtray therapy.

Therapy is all about helping clients in a way that makes sense for them - it's a mutually agreed upon experience that can be interactive and playful. Going to therapy doesn't mean something is "wrong." It can be as simple and positive as sitting with a stranger, being heard and gaining insight. My style is eclectic and tailored to my clients' particular needs. I draw on a multitude of influences, primarily psychodynamic, interpersonal and relational.
