We can all benefit from having someone to talk to. Sometimes, it can help to have someone provide us with a new or different way of thinking about things. As a licensed professional counselor associate, I desire to provide attentive presence during a client's time of personal growth and emotional need. I am passionate about equipping my clients to live their lives to the fullest. Whether the client is 4 years old or 84 years old, I believe everyone’s story has value, and everyone can benefit from going to counseling.

Who among us hasn't felt out-of-sync, overwhelmed or alone? It's not a matter of if something hits us, but when, and I'm not being pessimistic. What determines how well we ride out a crisis is how many healthy coping skills we learn through our life transitions. Even a loving family can’t teach what it doesn’t know. I want clients coming to therapy with me to know that therapy is not about changing you, but about evolving into your more authentic self, dropping unhelpful thinking habits that keep us imprisoned in old hurts, and learning to forgive ourselves & others for not knowing any better. “When we know better, we do better.”

More and more I see women who are truly "doing it all" They might work full time, take care of the kids, and manage the house while dealing with a partner who doesn't appreciate how hard it is to live up to almost impossible standards. Sometimes it's stay at home moms who do a ton of work but don't feel appreciated for all that they do and feel isolated from others. I also see so much Anxiety. It seems as if Covid brought everyone's anxiety out of hiding. Things that we never worried about before are now overwhelming. Social Anxiety is also increasing due Covid related isolation. You are not alone with these feelings.

I believe that hope for improvement or personal growth requires two things. The first is willpower, or motivation for change. If you're considering therapy, you probably already have that. The second is Waypower, or clarity on what the path forward looks like. If you know you want to make some changes but you're not sure how to get there, that's where I can help. If you are looking for relief from symptoms of anxiety or depression...if you are navigating a major life transition and it feels harder than you think it should...if you are feeling "stuck"... or your relationships are not quite what you want them to be, therapy can help.

You've been working hard to hold everything together while carrying anxiety, overwhelm, or the exhaustion that comes from masking who you really are. Maybe you're discovering your neurodivergent identity or recognizing trauma patterns that finally explain lifelong challenges. I offer trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming therapy for adults navigating ADHD, high-masking autism, anxiety, and unresolved stress. In our work, we'll create a compassionate space to explore these patterns, understand what your mind and body need to feel supported, and help you reconnect with your authentic self as you move toward healing.

Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Feeling Shaky, Haven't been sleeping, avoiding people. Feelings like you had as a child - most of the time, these are signs of trauma. And for most men, trauma is something we believe everybody else can have, but not ourselves. My passion is to help men make peace with their past so they can live fully in their present and thrive in their future. I love the quote, "Trauma is in the eye of the beholder." Today might be your first day accepting that you have trauma. Will you let somebody else be there for you? If so, I'd love to be that person! And Let EMDR be the resource that can help you find your healing.

I was inspired to become a therapist through my own therapy journey during undergraduate school. At a time when I felt unsure of myself, my therapist created a calming, supportive space that helped me grow—and I knew I wanted to do the same for others. I understand how intimidating starting therapy can feel, so I focus on helping clients feel at ease and gradually settle into the process.

I view counseling as a partnership between the client and myself. I see my role as enabling people to explore ways to heal from emotional hurt, to discover pathways toward more effective and positive ways of thinking, and to adopt helpful patterns of behavior. Through counseling, I help people recognize their strengths; encourage individuals to take responsibility for their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors; and assist people in making and implementing effective decisions.
Using an integrative approach to counseling, the techniques I use are cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, and interpersonal. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy and family system theories.

I work best with teens and adults who feel overwhelmed and like their mental health has taken a back seat. Many of my clients are thoughtful and self-aware but find themselves emotionally drained by life circumstances, relationship challenges, past trauma, or serious mental health concerns. They’re looking for a space to talk openly and make sense of things on a deeper level. In addition to my general practice, I have advanced training in the assessment and treatment of serious mental illness. I provide recovery-oriented care to help you understand what you’re experiencing and work toward a more stable, grounded life.
