You’re someone who carries a lot, work, responsibilities, expectations but still find yourself overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. Stress may feel constant, your mind rarely slows down, and you might feel frustrated with yourself for not handling things “better.” Maybe you’re exhausted from pushing through or feeling disconnected from who you used to be. But you’re ready to make a change. You’re ready to feel calmer, more balanced, and supported. Most of all, you’re ready to feel like yourself again. I want to help you get there.

I learned an invaluable lesson from one of my educators, he told me "no one has the right to minimize your feelings. To one person, failing their algebra test might be the worst day of their lives, to another it might be losing their grandfather. No matter what others may say or think, no one has the authority to tell you how you should feel." These are the words I live by and bring into every session. I lend an empathetic ear to those whose voices and feelings are neglected. I specialize in supporting individuals who struggle with feelings of shame, guiding them toward letting go of those emotions or finding a path to acceptance.

Life’s challenges can often feel overwhelming, leaving you stuck, frustrated, or disconnected. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues, it can seem like you’re trapped in a cycle that you can’t break. Often, we feel like our emotions are controlling us rather than the other way around. It can be tough to see how things can improve, but the good news is that acknowledging where you are is the first step to change. YOU have the power to regain control of your thoughts, actions, and emotional well-being—and I want to help you start that journey.

Hello! The challenges facing parents today are exceptional, in a world bound with pressures from every area of life. Families, more than ever, struggle to stay steady, stay grounded, and stay consistent, while raising little humans to succeed in our society. You might be looking for more peace in your household, better communication with your children, or supporting them to build confidence, resilience and emotional regulation. Teens often want a place where they can talk openly while parents want practical tools, guidance and reassurance that they are not alone in this season.

I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship issues, attachment issues, grief, substance use, anxiety, and low self-esteem. With humility, humor, and compassion, my approach to therapy is direct and empowering. I work with clients to go below the surface into life's challenges to help my clients develop a better understanding of themselves and how they interact with the world. Furthermore, I also understand the importance of military, first responders, and aviation professionals seeking therapists familiar with the mental health barriers due to their occupations and aim to provide a space of comfort and advocacy.

Life can be wonderful, interesting, challenging but no one ever said it would be easy! Never before have we faced such a difficult onslaught of problems affecting our work, school, social and even medical aspects of our lives. The good news is that counseling has never been easier to access. Our friends tell us what we want to hear, counselors tell us what we need to hear and give us the tools to make changes to help us on our journey. I have been a counselor since 1991 and am just as passionate about my work today as the day I started.
