Hello Friend! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m proud of you for taking this next step because I know how scary it is. Are you someone who looks strong on the outside but inside you’re exhausted. Are you hiding behind people-pleasing, numbing with substances or processes, secretly grieving, unraveling because of betrayal, constantly anxious, or just trying to make it through the day. You’re tired of wearing masks and ready to uncover the core wounds beneath trauma, addiction, relationship pain, or depression. You don’t want surface fixes, you want real healing. If you’re ready to stop hiding and start healing, you’re in the right place.

Do you ever ask yourself any of the following: Why do I feel frustrated or powerless when dealing with others behavior? Why does this problem/issue keep coming up for me? Why does life feel overwhelming and daunting at times? How do I get more out of life and where do I start? How do I break from old patterns and create a more rewarding way of life? These are some of the topics that my clients work through in our sessions. Facing life and all the relationships within it can be extremely challenging, and at times feel impossible, yet it is unavoidable.

If your brain doesn’t shut off, your to-do list never ends, and you somehow became the emotional support person for everyone you’ve ever met, you’re not alone. Many of my clients are high-functioning, capable young adults who look like they have it together, but internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, scattered, or stuck in the same exhausting patterns. A lot of my clients come to therapy feeling frustrated because they’re “self-aware," but still can’t seem to stop overthinking, overgiving, or repeating the same relationship patterns. If you’ve ever thought, “I know why I’m like this… so why can’t I change it?” — we should chat.

Most all my patients have a form of depression and anxiety and 85% are also suffering from addiction. Their lives are complicated by complications with finances, family, spouses, children, jobs, and most frequently health related issues. They are in short "out of balance" and we seek to bring wholeness, sobriety, and balance back into successful living and relationships.

Are relationship dynamics, family tension, or the patterns you keep repeating leaving you feeling stuck and disconnected from who you truly are? Whether the struggle is personal, between partners, or felt across the whole family, it rarely exists in isolation — and neither should the solution. You don't have to untangle it alone, and you don't have to choose between getting help as an individual or getting help together. In addition to individual therapy, I specialize in couples and family therapy, helping you gain deeper insight into your patterns and become more of who you truly are.

Life can change in an instant. Whether you're carrying the weight of grief, trauma, anxiety, or a season that feels overwhelming, you don't have to face it alone. You've spent a long time being the one who holds it together. Maybe you've been the strong one, the people-pleaser, the person who learned early on that your needs came last. And now you're here, tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix, wondering if this is just how it is. It doesn't have to be. I work with people who are done white-knuckling their way through life and actually ready to dig into WHY things feel so hard. That means we get into the real stuff: old patterns & nervous system responses. We work with both your mind AND your body, because healing that stays in your head only goes so far.

I have been in the mental health field for over 10 years. I went into this field due to a genuine desire to help others. I know it is a big step reaching out to a therapist. Usually, when someone contacts a counselor there are issues in their life that they want to improve. People can make changes, leading to a happier, more fulfilling life. I have great empathy and compassion for the difficulties people experience in their life. Clients have told me that I am caring, supportive, encouraging, and nonjudgemental.

You really don't want to be reading this right now. But here you are. You had so much hope. Things were going so well. You can remember the days when you began. There was so much hope and joy. But now there is misery. You are both Christians and wanted to do things God's way but too often you got in the way. Now you need to put in the RIGHT kind of work.

I work with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents in Cooper and across Delta County who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship strain, family conflict, or a difficult life transition. Many of my clients are looking for a steady, judgment-free space to make sense of what they're going through — not a quick fix, but real support at a pace that respects where they are. I also work closely with local schools, faith communities, and healthcare providers, so referrals often come from someone in the community who already knows and trusts the client's situation. Whether you're just starting therapy or returning.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
