I enjoy helping children, adolescents and their families navigate through the complexities of powerful emotions and challenging life circumstances. I bring a warm sense of humor with an empathetic awareness to people struggling in tough situations. I want to meet you where you are in life's journey, while bringing a fresh, non-judgmental perspective to each counseling session. Whether you are a frustrated parent dealing with a difficult teen, a tired parent working to understand your little one, or a family adjusting to a "new normal", counseling can be a helpful resource to gain tools and support.

You know there is something wrong yet you can't point it out. You feel lost and you feel like you are drowning with no escape. You want to feel better so you are searching the internet looking for answers and help, yet, you may feel anxious or stressed about having to start all over again on the life you worked so hard and dreamed of. You have memories of a once happy life and now you feel it is crumbling down and it is out of your control and you are saddened because you have invested so much. Your life doesn't feel the same and there is not enough energy or connection to repair the caused damages.

Trauma is often weaved in and through the fabric of our lives. Many think of trauma as one large scale traumatic event. However, complex trauma is not a single event. Trauma is betrayal, failed attachment to our parents, experiencing abuse/neglect, multiple losses, shattered relationships, or the inability to protect ourselves emotionally with healthy boundaries. The most disturbing part of a trauma is not only the event itself, but how we perceived the event, and the internalized negative core beliefs about ourselves that developed. Ketamine assisted therapy is now offered.

I have been passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals since I was young. Throughout high school and college I volunteered with people who have special needs and those who learn and think differently. These experiences led me to pursue a degree in Special Education. After teaching Special Education in Texas for four years, I was inspired by my classroom experiences to enhance my skills further which prompted me to pursue a Master’s in Counseling. I am part of a team at Spectra Therapies + Evaluations, which provides individual and group therapies as well as comprehensive evaluations.

Society is built on a neurotypical expectation, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for neurodivergence. If you yearn for more direction but haven’t been able to find clarity, that is the work I am passionate about doing. Great lives or relationships aren’t found, they are made. Do you struggle communicating when moments get intense or vulnerable? Do you understand your emotions and why you think or act the way you do? Have you been hurt by someone you care about? Or perhaps for some reason, you hurt them? Do you know what you want for your life, relationships, family, career? What about in a year? Or the next five years? Do you have regrets you need to work through?

If you're here, you've already taken the first step toward change. Maybe you're having a hard time enjoying the things you used to love. Or maybe intrusive thoughts make it hard to feel present, and no matter how much you achieve, it never feels like enough. If it feels like your mind is working against you, you're not alone — and you don’t have to face it on your own. With the right support, you can move past these overwhelming feelings and find relief.

Since 2011, I’ve been working as a professional who specializes in helping people cope with their issues in faith-based institutions. I walk alongside with my clients in a way where mercy meets wisdom. No matter whether they are emotional issues or relational issues, I will dedicate myself to listening to your challenges and struggles. I have been through valleys of suffering and pits of darkness in my own life, and all my experiences had made who I am now. I will not hesitate to empower my client by envisioning myself to BE each of them, so that they will know they are not alone anymore, as they now have a fellow traveler in life.

Hi, I am Lillian, and I am so happy that you found me. I want to listen, and I want to be here for you. When we face challenges and adversities, we hope that they would not defeat us, and we wish to come out stronger. It’s never that easy, because we are growing with the challenges of disappointment, sadness, anxiety, isolation, pain, and self-doubt. But why do we seek help? We still want to take opportunities to become better versions of ourselves, and we want to be capable and enough. I wish to see you, to understand you, and to care about you. You will trust yourself more, and you will love yourself more.

Intimacy is often impeded by an inability to know your self or to see yourself accurately. Often we loose that sense of self in relationships which then promotes agitation and depression. We then take on addictive behaviors to avoid feeling reality. Difficulties in childhood often does not equip us with the skills of boundaries which is the only thing that helps to maintain a sense of who we are while remaining connected in a relationship. I can help you develop the skills of being relational and still be you.

FAQs - About Therapy and Counseling

How can I find a therapist in 75252?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
