Do you find yourself wishing for better days? Have you lost interest in the things that once brought you joy? Are your basic responsibilities weighing you down?
Life doesn't have to be about exhaustion and overwhelm day in and day out. We can work together to improve your current circumstances. I love listening to my client's stories and helping them put the pieces together. At times we may mix conversation with psychoeducation in coping skills, mindfulness, and meditation.
Bravely sharing your story in counseling allows you a rare opportunity to be heard without judgment.

Trauma hurts. It can be sudden, life-altering and overwhelming, or chronic, subtle and nearly unnoticeable, but either way it can change the way we think about others, the world, and unfortunately, ourselves. Dealing with the aftermath—changes in our relationships, lashing out toward self or others, feeling nothing and/or everything all at once—is sometimes as hard as the initial event, especially when society, friends and family and our own minds tell us to “just get over it.” Worse, sometimes we aren’t even sure where the trauma came from in the first place, leaving us confused and even feeling hopeless.

Reaching out for help can be hard, but you do not have to figure everything out alone. I work with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, burdened, or tired of repeating unhealthy cycles related to substance use and stress.
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready for support, clarity, and change. They may be struggling with finances, family, emotional overwhelm, unhealthy coping patterns, or major life transitions. Some are seeking an assessment or professional guidance, while others want a safe and supportive space to better understand their behavior, rebuild stability, and move forward in a healthier direction.

Psychosis can feel confusing and isolating, and many people aren’t sure what it really means. It can show up in different ways — through conditions like Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, Bipolar disorder with Psychosis, Depression with Psychosis, Schizophreniform disorder, Delusional disorder, Brief Psychotic disorder, or Substance-induced Psychosis.
For over 20 years, I’ve been helping individuals and families navigate these experiences with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based care. If you’re searching for support and a path toward stability and hope, you’ve come to the right place.

Are you your own worst critic? Maybe you spend a lot of time beating yourself up, asking questions like “What’s wrong with me?” I know because I’ve worked with so many other people with similar struggles, and as a veteran, I’ve experienced it myself. Such negative thoughts are normal when you’ve never learned to combat them. Unfortunately, they contribute to many issues such as depression and anxiety. They can even worsen symptoms from trauma. The good news is you can change your patterns of thinking. One of my favorite quotes from Marcus Aurelius is “The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.”
