I am a Psychotherapist originally from Chicago and have been practicing for 18 years. I received my B.A. in Psychology from DePaul University in 2001, and my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Psychology/Argosy University in 2006. I am fully qualified and experienced to treat adolescents, adults & families with a variety of behavioral mental health issues. I utilize a collaborative & eclectic approach which incorporates psycho-eduation, skill building, and behavior awareness techniques. This approach works very well with adults & adolescents struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.
Additionally, I specialize in working with individuals who are typically adverse to traditional therapy and prefer a "non-traditional" approach. My experience with teens included working closely with the Office of Juvenile Affairs in Oklahoma, seeing many adolescents successfully transition from the juvenile detention center to completion of probation.
I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Having lived and practiced in urban settings such as Chicago and Boston, to rural Oklahoma, I have seen/heard it all. I've been described as "not a typical therapist". What makes me unique? I'm just "me".
