Counseling is about creating a safe environment for a client, both an actual comfortable "real space" and a place of trust in our hearts and heads. This needs to be a non-judgmental space where a person from any walk of life can feel at home and welcomed. The process is about compassionate listening, collaboration, and creating a place where healthy growth can happen over time. Most of my training focuses in on the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based therapy techniques. After completing my graduate training at Tulane University, I received advanced training in trauma by Dr. Aaron Beck.
I am currently available to accept new clients in February and March. Please note that at the present time all of my evening appointment slots are currently taken. I am available during the daytime work hours Monday through Thursday to see patients on a weekly or biweekly basis.
