"Moody", "Overly Sensitive", or "Needy"- Are these words people use to describe you, or maybe how you describe yourself? Do you feel like your life is one stressful event after another? Does it seem like no one 'gets' you or people have given up on you? If you are looking for a therapist who wants to help you understand your feelings and improve your relationships, I might be the one for you.
My specialty is teaching clients how to manage their feelings and behaviors. I am "intensively" trained in DBT (coping skills designed to improve feelings, behaviors, and relationships). Also I am level II trained in EMDR and have a lot of experience working with trauma survivors.
My nursing background allows me to help clients in different ways from most therapists. I incorporate medical knowledge to assist clients in monitoring their emotions and behaviors. Having a better understanding allows people to feel empowered and live quality lives.
