What does it mean to "take care of your mental health?" It's easier to tell when you aren't taking care of it. Chronic stress, exhaustion, worry, and panic are all signs your mental health is suffering. If untreated, you could start having poor health, trouble in your relationships, and difficulty staying on top of work or school.
There are many things that can lead to mental health struggles, like a too-busy schedule, a chronic illness or someone else's troubles, a major life transition, or the death of someone close to you. Or, it could seem to come out of the blue, caused by nothing at all.

Taking the step to seek support shows incredible strength and courage. Life's challenges can feel overwhelming and hard to manage, but you don't have to face them alone. In our work together, my clients can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where they feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. My priority is to create a compassionate and supportive environment where every individual feels heard and respected. I view each client as a whole person, considering how various systems impact their well-being. I also recognize the deep connection between the mind and body and incorporate somatic practices when beneficial.

My office is filled with toys and art projects to help any child feel safe and comfortable.

Life is a journey full of stories, some we’ve chosen to create and others that were created for us. Your story may be easy or difficult, joyful or painful, filled with pride or touched by guilt or shame. Whatever chapter you’re in—or thinking about opening—I honor your bravery and courage for taking this step.
Maybe you’re stepping into independence for the first time, starting a new career, feeling uncertain about the future, navigating parenthood, experiencing grief or relationship stress, adjusting to changes, feeling lost in what your next chapter might be, or simply trying to make it through each day- I am glad you are here.

You’re not stuck – You might just need a different way through.
Healing doesn’t only happen through talking—it happens through the body, too. Trauma, stress, and emotional pain often live in the nervous system, which is why I integrate movement and body awareness into sessions when it feels helpful.
This might look like noticing physical sensations, incorporating gentle movement, learning how to regulate your body in moments of overwhelm, or simply taking a short walk to help ground you in the moment. These approaches can open new ways of accessing and processing experiences that words alone sometimes cannot reach.

Throughout our journey in life, we endure countless challenges, hardships, and the list is endless. During these times in our life, we may encounter the inability to see the light at the end of the tunnel, repair the broken pieces, and feel as though we have nowhere or no-one to turn to. My perspective is that throughout our journey in life, each of us have internal tools to make changes, heal, prosper, to recognize the strengths, potential, and growth that we are all capable of and deserve. I firmly believe in a person-centered approach, where acceptance, understanding, and empathy are the foundation of therapy.
