I believe services related to mental health should be as normal and attainable as those related to physical health. Science, with a personal and creative flair, should drive these services. I completed a MSW, with a concentration in mental health, from Washington University in St. Louis. During this time I was able to specialize my education and training experience to best fit the role of a mental health therapist. I am able to work with individuals ranging from five years and up, and can address most mental health needs by utilizing a variety of practice models. The role of trauma and traumatic stress is a special area of practice.
I have received extensive and on-going training related to trauma informed care and practices. This includes being nationally certified in TF-CBT and trained in EMDR therapy. I also have knowledge in providing DBT treatment, and working with BPD clients. My Standard Poodle, Ginsburg, is a certified therapy dog and loves to meet and work with clients too!
I am currently organizing individuals and groups to complete BSRB Clinical Supervision requirements.
