Many of the clients I’ve worked with are high-functioning and deeply thoughtful people who simply feel exhausted from carrying too much alone. They may struggle with trauma, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, relationship challenges, ongoing stress, life transitions, relationship stress, grief, trauma, and racial battle fatigue. They may be searching for clarity, emotional safety, and a place where they aren’t judged. Their goal is to understand themselves and to build a life that feels authentic, emotionally healthy, grounded, and aligned with who they truly are. Ambra also provides counseling and consulting for leaders and entrepreneurs.

If you feel anxious, depressed, burned out, overwhelmed, and stuck in the same patterns, you are not alone. I'm here to support you with warmth and compassion, to help you find clarity, and to develop real tools for change.

Sometimes we just need a space where we can be honest about how we’re really doing. I’m here to hold that space and meet you wherever you are. I also specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, OCD, depression, and stress. Many come in feeling overwhelmed or lost, and together we move toward living by your values rather than your fears.

You might feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Maybe you’re navigating trauma, burnout, life transitions, or the weight of living in a world that wasn’t built with your neurodivergence or identities in mind. You may crave more ease, self-acceptance, and ways to express yourself beyond words. In our work, we can use both art and conversation to explore your experiences, quiet your inner critic, and reconnect with your true self. You don’t need to be an artist, just open to the idea that healing can be creative, empowering, and uniquely your own.

Hey! I’m Levi. I invite you to take a moment in your search to exhale with me. I appreciate you finding your way to me today. What’s more, I appreciate the world you exist in right now. No matter your stage of life, or which part(s) of your internal and external worlds you want to discuss, I will arrive in gentle kindness to strategize with you toward digestible approaches to life problems. You need not have “one big issue” that brings you to our space. In the words of my favorite band, Yo La Tengo: “Let’s be undecided, let’s take our time; and sooner or later, we will know our mind.”

My approach to therapy combines traditional talk therapy alongside Somatic Experiencing. I aim to increase the capacity to regulate, build safety, and connect the mind and body. I work towards nervous system healing and incorporate a Narrative approach with goal-oriented steps. I seek to help clients create awareness of the stories they tell themselves that are no longer true or helpful. I have specialized training and experience working with folks impacted by trauma, high anxiety, OCD, and experiencing maternal mental health adjustments and concerns.

The choice to reach out for help is often one of the most difficult decisions. But it allows us to begin a new way of connecting that paves the way to change beyond what can be achieved through our regular, daily interactions. We all go through difficult situations in our lives when we feel stuck or are struggling to find our voice or identity. Counseling supplies an empathic and non-judgmental foundation for you to find exactly what you're looking for.

You are the hero or heroine of your own life’s story, but it doesn’t feel that way right now. Storms of anxiety, shame, depression, guilt, or addiction rage against you. Dragons of grief, trauma, anger, fear, or loneliness seek to pull you down. You fight back, but the struggle leaves you weary. Stuck. Success is difficult, and you are not the positive influence in the world you hoped to be. You recognize patterns leading to the same unwanted results. You’ve done your best to understand, but moving forward seems too difficult. Maybe you begin to doubt who you really are, believing that you are much less than heroic.

If you are anything like me, you know that life is not only hard, it can sometimes feel impossible. Fortunately, counseling can be both a refuge and a catalyst for life-changing growth. I believe there’s something mysterious within all of us that already knows what we need and how to get there - sometimes we just need support in figuring out what’s getting in the way. There is no world where I am an expert on you, but I am an expert in feeling pretty miserable. And it’s from my own struggles as a complex human that I am able to be a passionately knowledgeable and creative resource for you.

You might be doing your best, and still feeling overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure how to make sense of your emotions or relationships. Maybe anxiety feels louder than it used to. Maybe you’re navigating identity shifts, attachment wounds, or big feelings that keep showing up in the present. You don’t have to sort through it all alone.

I believe we are all born with innate wisdom from the body, yet most of us have had moments where the demands of difficult life circumstances, work, or relationships overwhelm this wisdom. Or perhaps repetitive, obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors take control without warning or cause, wreaking havoc in our lives. In either case, disconnection between mind and body may grow, and soon, the telltale signs of dysfunction develop: eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, depression, and difficulty in romantic and family relationships, to name a few. The good news is, there is a path forward, and I'm here to help.

Are you constantly feeling overworked, overextended, overwhelmed, or just over it? Are you hoping to find a safe, comfortable space to reconnect with yourself in a world that is constantly asking and taking so much? My aim is to give you a small reprieve from the world – somewhere to cope, to process, to decompress, and connect with someone who cares, supports, and believes in you.

I'm Eugenie, a queer Korean licensed clinical social worker working with both kids (3 and up) and adults. I enjoy working with kids who are struggling with anxiety and behavioral issues over separation, divorce, immigration, and/or loss, as well as adult clients who have been carrying generational pain for so long, manifesting in OCD, anxiety, and/or cPTSD. I find a lot of joy in working with LGBTQ+ and immigrant clients and feel that even with shared identities, no two experience is the same. Striving to be nonjudgmental and providing unique, individualized care are important to me as a therapist.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
