My outlook on therapy is the client / therapist relationship is the highest priority. Without a strong connection, the rest is not as effective. I work hard to meet clients where they are at, and think through what kind of goals they want to set and how to get there. I have been practicing since 2019, and have experience working with adults, adolescents, and families. I have worked a great deal with anxiety and depression, and learning how to cope with them and get back to living. Most of my background is using CBT and DBT, but I strive to use whatever tools are going to be most effective for each individual client.

We live in an unprecedented time of stress and overwhelm, balancing so many roles and responsibilities in our homes and communities. So many of us struggle with feelings of anxiety, hopelessness, rage, shame, guilt. Sometimes we struggle with a shifting sense of identity as we become new parents or when we have to care for an aging family member. Even joyful and meaningful transitions in our life are complex and come with mixed emotions! We want to make sense of our feelings and experiences. We want to feel more grounded, calm, and present. We want to get back in touch with our true selves.

Life can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate at times, especially when significant changes and traumatic events leave us feeling lost, alone, and undone. These circumstances can impact the way we view ourselves, others, and the world around us, especially when the tools we have do not seem to provide relief from the stresses of life and the feelings that accompany them. I can help guide your mental health journey so you can get back to focusing on the things that matter most. Together, we can learn to manage the challenges of life.

Are you troubled by negative or distressing thoughts & memories from the past or present? Have you experienced a trauma? Perhaps you find yourself "overreacting" to minor or non-incidents. Do others say you're "too sensitive"? Maybe you have lost someone or something and you're finding it difficult to move forward. You are in a battle to reclaim you're stability, freedom, joy, self-confidence, self-worth, self-control, or even a part of yourself. Somehow you have lost your way & you would give just about anything to get back to how life used to be. Or maybe you desire something even better than before. . . .

To the rest of the world, you're perfectly put together. But on the inside, you feel like a tangled mess. You can't quite put your finger on it, but something's felt off for a while now. You feel controlled by your emotions and overwhelmed by the pressure to be the superwoman that everyone else thinks you are. But you and I both know the superwoman thing is getting pretty damn exhausting. Beneath that perfectly-put-together exterior, you're stuck in a tangled knot of old wounds that have never quite healed, the constant self-doubt that never seems to quiet, and the unrelenting pressure to be everything to everyone.

Big Feelings. Little Kids. Whether it’s more tantrums; more notes coming home from teachers; or more stories about issues with friends and classmates, you know something is going on with your child. It makes you sad, worried, and maybe even a little anxious. And worse: you don't know how to help them anymore. The calming techniques of old aren't working; soothing attempts from you seem to change too little; and you're out of ideas of where to go next. This doesn't make you a bad parent, but sometimes you feel like one, and all you're looking for is the right help for your child.
