People seek therapy for many different reasons...feeling stuck or disconnected, overwhelmed and anxious, always feeling angry, feeling up & down, feeling tired. Those who work with me tend to be seeking ways to better tolerate & manage the full range and intensity of their experiences. In my 18 years of clinical work, I’ve focused on helping individuals & families find and practice ways to live regulated, connected, and meaningful lives amidst “the full catastrophe” of life. I enjoy working with people of all ages and specialize in anxiety, identity issues, complex trauma, and supporting child-parent relationships.
Whether my work is with adults, or children & their families, we’ll look at what drives and maintains current challenges and how to embody a way of being that feels right for you. We'll reflect on patterns, attend to emotions and sensations, reprocess experiences, connect the whats and whys, and practice new skills. It’s also a space to vent and breathe.
I have extensive training on attachment, trauma, and the mind-body connection, and utilize a variety of evidenced-based treatments in my practice. My work is rooted in a therapy relationship that is genuine, accepting, and finds light and joy even in challenging places.
