I have a large body of experience, having worked as a therapist for over 30 years. During that time I have worked with people with almost every type of issue. My orientation is client centered, being most concerned about what approach will fit the client as opposed to trying to fit the client into an approach. I love my work because I have the opportunity to see people change and grow.

I have been in the field of Social Work since 1989, starting my career in teaching in 1984 and quickly moved to Social Work. I have spent my career in the public sector until I opened my practice in 2007. I center my career around helping people get through challanges that life puts in our path. I offer a comfortable and supportive environment where it is safe to explore various issues that life presents. I feel it is an honor to work with individuals trying to better their life and have chosen me to assist with their journey.

I am a seasoned professional counselor skilled in developing client relationships that promote healing and growth through caring, compassion and competency. My areas of clinical emphasis include navigating adolescent development, parenting, identifying stumbling blocks and improving relationships, recovery from trauma/ abuse and the healing of grief and loss. I have successfully been working with individuals, couples and families for over 30 years. In addition to my psychotherapy experience, I have participated in the clinical supervision and training of graduate intern counselors since 1989.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, families, and individuals and am committed to collaborating with each person to provide a non-judgmental, personalized therapeutic experience. I am dedicated to helping others to understand their difficulties and to create healthy ways to value themselves and others.

I help struggling couples, frustrated parents, disillusioned teens, and others resolve a wide variety of issues including substance abuse, marriage issues, infidelity, child/adolescent behavioral problems, and more. One thing I value as a counselor is having the privilege to witness and take part in the potential for recovery and healing that can occur, even in the midst of great strife or despair.

I use simple, effective, proven techniques to lead my clients to greater insight, which leads to change. Individuals, couples, and families are my focus from adolescents through senior citizens. I help folks manage life's many stressors including but not limited to loss, grief, separation, substance abuse, and illness.

She is the author of What's Good About Anger? books, resources/courses and the founder and President of the Anger Management Institute.

I have been in private practice for twenty-six years and work with individuals, couples, and families. In person and telehealth appointments are available. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and forensic specialist with more than 35 years of experience helping people. My treatment approach encourages patients to be active participants in their own therapeutic growth and I have vast experience in the treatment of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, panic and anxiety disorders in all age groups, including children, and in forensic psychology.

Currently I specialize in Trauma in adults and adolescents as a Certified Trauma Treatment Professional. For 20 years I specialized in divorce issues, both in families with high amounts of conflict and custody disagreements and provide support during this difficult transition. In addition, I have a strong background in Attachment, and I specialize in Attachment issues in children and adults and address the various challenges clients face in their current relationships. I use EMDR when appropriate as well as myriad Neuropsychological interventions to allow clients to process and free themselves from the cycle of Trauma memories.
