I am an LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) therapist who has been serving clients in Lake County for over 20 years. I have worked with families, children, DCFS and foster care, adolescents, couples and adults with varying diagnoses and issues (i.e. major depression, bipolar disorder, self-mutilation, ADHD, trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, personality disorders, and chemical abuse and dependency).
I have been trained in treating PTSD / trauma using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My overall approach in therapy is to first establish a connection and trust with all my clients using humor, as well as common interests such as sports, video gaming, etc. I have also have personal experience with marriage, having children, and divorce.
I am a provider for: BCBS of IL PPO, BCBS of IL Blue Choice Preferred PPO, UnitedHealth/Optum, Cigna, and Aetna panels. My out of pocket fee is $100/session for those who do not wish to use insurance or do not have insurance.
