At A Few Shared Stories, I believe healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and understood. Life has a way of pulling us in many directions — relationships get complicated, family dynamics shift, and sometimes the weight of the past still lingers in the present. My goal is to provide a calm, supportive space where you can unpack those experiences and begin to write a new chapter of your story.
My approach blends several evidence-based methods — drawing from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and trauma-informed practices — to meet you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll explore practical tools for change,

We create a personally tailored combination of tools that will work specifically for you. Pulling from techniques that may include: EMDR, somatic and depth psychology, neurobiology, meditation, Jungian sand tray, parts work, and spirituality or religion to help you heal your brain, body & spirit. Our therapists do their own work, so that they can take you farther. We collaborate with you to use a supportive, and sometimes challenging approach, but at your own pace. We know that relationships tend to be a core part of our health and happiness, so work to increase your inner relationship with yourself and with those around you.

Sometimes, we feel stuck and don't know what we can do to move forward. I enjoy working with people who seek greater understanding of how their moods and behaviors developed, and why their current coping strategies no longer feel useful. I work with, and welcome, people who struggled to find benefit in previous attempts at therapy, and those in need of transitioning to a new therapist. I find great value in working with people struggling to maintain their identity while juggling kids and aging parents, as well as people managing a beloved pets illness or loss. Please visit my website for more information about me and my practice.

Central to my practice of over 25 years is the belief that all of us deserve respect no matter our histories, and have within ourselves the wisdom for peace and healing. Our individual journeys are at times celebratory and at other times heartbreaking. We may not always be able to choose the circumstances we face such as illness, or the end of a relationship. Instead, we can choose what we are going to do about our challenges. We can choose how to integrate this information into our overall life stories for greater joy, creativity, and balance.

Nearly 20 years in the field and I still love working with neurodivergent teens and adults. If you’ve ever felt different, or that you don’t fit in…you fit here. I tend to lean towards a more accessible, easy-going approach when helping clients work towards goals important to their journey. I find that bringing humor to the session lends to a more comfortable therapeutic environment. While identifying goals can often be challenging, My aim is to help clients identify strengths and learn the skills needed to make positive changes in their lives.

Sometimes it is hard to ask for help. During our lives, we all reach the point where the stress becomes too much. One way to address that is by finding a supportive person to help. I aim to be that supportive person for you. I have been working with children ranging from 7-17, parents, adults, and families since 2007. I have taken time to raise my own children. I recognize the stress of balancing family, work, and personal lives. It is my goal to help you develop your strengths and coping skills to navigate life when it feels like too much. I have experience in helping families navigate difficult parent/child interactions.

At the heart of this work we do is the belief that each person deserves respect and has within the capacity for healing and joy. Whatever the struggle, addressing it must start with each person being seen, heard, understood. We may not always be able to choose the circumstances we face such as illness, the end of a relationship, or trauma. Instead, we can choose what we are going to do about our challenges

Life is wonderful. Life can also be difficult, for everyone. Stress induced anxiety and depression are among the most widespread causes of unhappiness. Finding the balance between taking care of ourselves and taking care of others, seeking joy and helping others find it, can be challenging. All of us human beings have gone through some level of difficult experiences in our lives, but I fully believe that, as the saying goes, it is not what cards we are dealt, but how we play them that determines the direction of our lives.
