As an AASECT-certified sex therapist, I work with individuals and couples facing challenges regarding differences in sex drive, sexual pain & dysfunctions such as ED and vaginismus, issues with orgasm, and other issues related to intimacy and performance. While anxiety is not always the cause of these challenges, anxiety is certainly part and parcel of how they manifest. Therapy is geared towards optimizing mental and physical health, managing anxiety through lifestyle changes, improving communication with loved ones, and reaching for better quality of life, which frequently includes: better sex!
Sex therapy isn't always about sex. Much of the time, it's about strengthening the connection to the body, letting go of unhelpful and destructive thought loops, and learning tips and tricks to help you feel anchored to your authentic self and empowered in your relationships.
It's anxiety-provoking to invite someone into the nuance of your life and potentially feel judged. But this first step towards vulnerability is, in itself, life-changing. I'm honored to help support you as you seek a better quality of life.

Therapy is a dialogue, and I will remain internally focused on your goals and values, noticing patterns you may not yet be aware of, while you discuss the topics that weigh heavily on your mind. We will circle back to events from childhood/adolescence, taking into account your most prominent caretaking figures, and help you re-pattern yourself out of old conditioning.

My approach is largely cognitive behavioral (challenging unhelpful thoughts and beliefs) with an interest in childhood, emotional release, and the practice of disengaging from thoughts. Learning to be in your body with your attention in the sense-field is an evidence-based (and centuries-old!) practice that leads us out of psychological suffering.
