Many of the people who reach out to me are used to handling things well. Others rely on them in their work, families, and communities. Yet internally they may notice reactions or relationship patterns that don’t fully make sense. Many have already spent years reflecting on themselves and may even feel like they “should have figured this out by now.” They often say something like: “I understand exactly why I do this… but it still happens.” That’s often when insight alone stops being enough and deeper work begins.

If trauma has changed the way you think, feel, or react, you’re not alone—and you’re not broken. I help Veterans, first responders, and civilians make sense of their symptoms, calm their nervous system, and rebuild the parts of life trauma has interrupted: trust, purpose, connection, and confidence. My approach is practical, direct, and grounded in lived civilian and military experience.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that aren’t working, or disconnected from yourself, you’re not alone. Many people reach a point where they know something needs to shift, but aren’t sure how to begin.
I work with adults (18+) to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and better understand what’s going on internally—so they can respond to life with more intention, feel more grounded, and make choices that align with who they are.

Children often struggle with emotions; identifying, expressing and processing their feelings can be very difficult. Anger can rear its ugly head when underneath it may really be a whole bunch of other emotions going on. Some children need to express themselves other than verbally. Play and art therapy techniques, sand tray, and therapeutic games can be used as ways for kids to process emotions without talking or feeling pressured. Children often just need to be heard, given skills, and provided with opportunity for little successes that can increase their self-esteem. Parents are invited to learn valuable tools as well.

I approach every client with concern for immediate difficulties and symptoms, but also believe that one of the central tasks of therapy is to gain self knowledge and understanding. This might include acknowledging emotion, understanding avoidance, or identifying behavioral and relationship patterns. Research studies have demonstrated that focusing on relationships (past and present) increases the likelihood that therapeutic work will be effective.

You don't have to edit yourself here and you don't have to have it all figured out before coming to therapy. Whether you're carrying trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, we'll create space to slow down and get curious. I won't ask you to fit your story into a box or leave parts of yourself at the door. I'm not afraid of hard conversations, and I'm for more interested in understanding your experience than judging it. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more connected to yourself, your relationships, and the life you're craving.

I'm not a passive counselor who leans back in her chair behind a clipboard, muttering an occasional “um-hum.” I am genuinely interested in hearing your story. I educate clients on how brains work. Clients educate me on what it’s like being them. Together we go deeper into figuring out who they are and who they want to be. Doing the healing work in therapy is usually hard, but it can also be fun. It’s so cool for me to get to watch my clients learn to trust themselves and start to get after it again in life. My long-term clients often report how therapy has helped them build resilience and feel joy.

In life, we can experience very difficult challenges that require change. Some of those challenging events may be difficult to move on from, leave you feeling stuck and unsure of how to proceed. Therapy can be a helpful way of helping you explore events, process emotions, and grow within new perspectives. I can help provide a warm, compassionate environment to do just that. It is important to me that you feel heard and understood. I find that in this type of therapeutic space, individuals are much more open to taking steps towards flexibility, developing insight, and finding a self-compassion they may not have discovered before.

My joy and my passion are helping women discover how much is possible when they start loving and accepting themselves. When you love and accept yourself – light side/dark side – with all of your imperfections, that’s when things really start to move and shift. It is the key that opens the door to the wisdom and strength that is already inside of you. When you are disconnected from your love for yourself, life is scary. How will I cope? Or, avoid these uncomfortable feelings? Disconnection often shows up as anxiety, depression, anger, food issues, stress, people pleasing, etc. Are you ready to create some long lasting peace?

You're exhausted, carrying more than is manageable, and feel stuck in survival mode — trauma, grief, or stress that live in your body long after the moment has passed. You’ve tried talking it through, yet tension, disconnection, or overwhelm remain. You want relief, but also deeper healing — not just coping, but reconnection with yourself. If you sense that healing is more than just words — that your body holds stories, wisdom, and unfinished survival responses — you’re in the right place. I work with adults who are ready to explore the mind–body connection as a pathway toward healing, feeling grounded, and more like themselves.

You can cry. Swear. Vent. Spill the tea. Sit in silence. However you show up is fine with me. Therapy doesn't require the right words or a perfectly put-together story. Whether you're carrying grief, trauma, or something you can't even name yet — you don't have to carry it alone.
