I believe individuals who want to overcome mental health struggles CAN make a change! There is always trial and error, and steps forward and back, but when the client and the therapist are committed to the process, the results can transform lives. Regardless of the struggle they're facing, I try to be honest and open with my clients and to foster an environment in which they feel safe to be open as well. Maintaining open communication and building trust helps ensure the client's therapeutic needs are being met.
Every client is unique. My therapeutic approach consists of evidence-based practice models like EMDR, cognitive behavioral, and person-centered therapy. I help clients examine their values, thought patterns, emotions, and impulsivity. I take a caring, non-judgmental, goal-oriented approach to therapy, with the aim of helping people live healthier lives.
I have completed a series of trainings under the Gottman Method and incorporate their theoretical modalities into my work with couples to assist with emotional disconnect, managing conflict, and improving the shared meaning within the relationship
