My journey to being a therapist began working in residential mental health treatment. Then I began doing crisis work with youth and ARMHS work before moving into full-time therapy. My education has given me a well-rounded background that has been integral in my work as a therapist. Before obtaining my master’s degree in clinical counseling, my undergraduate education focused on criminal justice (victimology emphasis), psychology, and writing.
I have had the privilege of supporting individuals of all ages with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, stress, phase of life transitions, and many more challenges.

My ideal clients are queer and trans teens and emerging adults, particularly those who are neurodivergent, disabled, or living in rural or underserved communities. Clients may come to therapy navigating identity, relationships, trauma, life transitions, or the exhaustion of trying to fit into systems that don't understand them. I offer a trauma-attuned, relational, and affirming space where clients can feel understood, explore what matters to them, and build more authentic and sustainable ways of moving through the world.

I came to this work because hope matters, even when it feels out of reach. Together, we'll uncover the hope you may have lost along the way. Your worldview shapes every session, every tool, and every space we create together.

You're doing everything — and somehow it still feels like not enough. Maybe motherhood hit differently than you expected, or the road to get here was harder than anyone warned you about. Maybe you can't quite name what's wrong, you just know something is. Whether you're in the thick of infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, or just trying to keep your head above water as a mom — this is a safe place to be honest about how hard it actually is.

Being human is complicated, and sometimes life lands us in a season we definitely didn't feel prepared for. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, relationships, and major transitions. I'm especially drawn to the moments that shake up how we see ourselves: becoming a parent, getting a diagnosis that suddenly explains a lot, losing someone, questioning long-held beliefs, or realizing the old ways of getting through life aren't working anymore. We can start wherever you are.

I definitely won’t give you the “blank stare and clipboard” experience in our sessions, and I’m not really interested in surface-level therapy. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish and work with people ages 10 and up. That might look like a rambunctious kid with big feelings, a teen who feels misunderstood or rejected, adults trying to figure out how to “do life,” or elders navigating relationships with their now-grown children who suddenly have kids of their own.

It is my honor to walk through each of my clients' journeys with them as they heal, find themselves, and refine themselves. You deserve to begin to live your authentic self. My approach to therapy is eclectic, as I believe not just one approach works for everyone.
My first approach to therapy is person centered to meet you where you are at and what you need. I utilize an emotion-focused approach and psychoeducation to help you begin to process emotions that you've found too hard to do on your own. Healthy emotional and cognitive processing will help to relieve the hurt and pain you've been feeling (and likely trying to avoid).

Many people come to therapy feeling weighed down by negative self-talk — that critical inner voice that can be hard to quiet. Erica takes a compassionate yet direct approach, helping clients explore where these thoughts come from while also challenging patterns that keep them stuck. She uses a strengths-based framework to help you develop practical tools and make meaningful changes, not just vent about what’s hard. In therapy, you’ll find a warm, supportive space where real work happens — and you don’t have to face the difficult parts alone.
