Ever increasing levels of stress and anxiety are commonplace in modern life. We have become so accustomed to living in this chronic state of hyper arousal that we now consider it to be a "normal" baseline of daily functioning. Unfortunately, for many this state of increased anxiety can begin to feel debilitating, demoralizing, and inescapable. It's hard to describe the feelings of hopelessness and isolation that those who suffer from severe anxiety face. It can wreak havoc on our most important relationships, limit our ability to grow, to be authentic, playful and creative, flexible, empathic and patient with ourselves and others.

"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." Ralph Waldo Emerson. Many people that pursue psychotherapy do so because they feel stuck. The goal of therapy is the clarification of what we actually think and feel toward the goal of getting unstuck, and becoming who you are meant to be. Life presents challenges. If this is where you are, you're probably right on track. I also have extensive experience in addictive behaviors that prevent us from moving forward. (LIVE VIDEO OPTION AVAILABLE. You make sense - you deserve to feel deeply seen and understood. Helping people integrate their past experiences and future hopes into an empowered sense of self is core to my work. This includes people experiencing the effects of trauma, depression, and anxiety, as well as those navigating life transitions like college, work changes, and relationship changes. I love to help parents better connect and collaborate with their kids (of all ages). I also deeply enjoy working with people in all stages of recovery from substance use, including those who are just starting to explore the idea of changing their relationship to use.

As an EMDRIA certified therapist, I work with adults who have experienced trauma, anxiety, or who are in the middle of a difficult life transition. Often my clients have experienced moments where something was ‘too much, too fast’, and ever since then things haven’t felt quite right.

Taking the first step toward therapy can bring up a mix of emotions-uncertainty, hope even fear. You don't have to navigate that alone. With over 15 years experience, I provide a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what you're going through. I work with adults who struggle with anxiety, overthinking, and internal pressure to perform-whether in their careers, daily life, or athletics.
Together, we will explore what's beneath the surface, build on your strengths, and help you move toward feeling more grounded, confident and in control of your life.

Change is possible, even when it feels elusive. It may not be the kind of change we imagined, and the path may be slower or more winding than we hoped. However, change happens as we discover new freedoms. In therapy, I work collaboratively with you to cultivate curiosity and patience for the slow, tender work of change. Flourishing isn’t the absence of pain, but the freedom to choose how we live in the midst of it. Together we'll explore how past and present relationships shape your emotional world. We'll work to understand your stuck points, reconnect with your emotions, and chart a path toward a more meaningful life.

It is important to me to learn about who you are as a whole person, so that we can find the right kind of therapy for you. People are not created from cookie-cutters, so why should we all be forced into boxes in therapy? Your personality is made from years of experience and deserves individualized attention. I want to create an environment that you feel safe and welcomed in, where you can be yourself and say what you want to say.
