My ideal clients are teens and adults who feel like they've been swimming upstream — often without knowing why. Many are navigating ADHD or Autism, carrying the weight of years spent masking or misunderstood. Others are processing trauma, chronic anxiety, or a life transition that's left them unsteady. What they share is a readiness to understand themselves more deeply and a desire for therapy that meets them where they actually are — not where they "should" be. They want real tools, genuine connection, and a space where their whole self is welcome.

I specialize in ADHD and ASD (Autism) and also treat obsessions and compulsions, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and depression. I support the fact that every individual possesses unique strengths built day by day, and I strive to incorporate the unique values in every individual when creating a therapeutic experience of comfort, motivation, and positive growth. In practice, I use cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance/commitment therapy. I greatly enjoy working with both children and adults in this approach. Additionally, I also have a considerable background in performing arts and sports.

I started Thrive Mental Health because I believe that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. To do so, we need to address the things that are holding us back and preventing us from thriving. Through counseling, I will help you discover yourself and unpack the lies, beliefs, and pain that are keeping you stuck. Circumstances can be hard, but they don’t have to be. The sky is the limit when it comes to health, healing, and reaching your goals.

I work with adults navigating major life transitions—chronic illness, trauma, grief, identity shifts, and working through moral injury. I am EMDR trained. Many of my clients are first responders, military, veterans, caregivers, or those managing anxiety, depression, or life-changing diagnoses—often people used to being “the strong one.” Clients come seeking clarity, relief, and a way forward (and sometimes just a place to not hold it all together). I offer a grounded, supportive space where healing begins, strengths are rediscovered, and new meaning can emerge—one step at a time.

I specialize in working with the LGBT+ community, people who identify as neurodivergent, those with trauma and relationship issues (queer, ENM, Kink etc. I don't work with CIS, straight couples). I have a passion for supporting trans identifying clients as they advocate for their needs within the medical system, supporting clients navigating open relationships, and supporting parents who are navigating the needs of their neurodivergent children. I practice from a sex positive, health at every size, harm reduction lens. I ask my clients to show up as their authentic self and my clients can expect the same from me.

My ideal client is someone ready to dive into deeper issues and who feels motivated for some real change in their life as well as some laughs and side quests along the way. Not every day is going to be a hard hitting session, but some of these sessions are necessary in order to get you where you want to be. We will be working together to get you feeling back to yourself again.

I feel very fortunate to do this work, and I hope to have an opportunity to meet with you. Over the years, I have worked with people of all ages with a wide variety of problems. I have worked with young children dealing with family change, worries or difficulties at school. In addition, I enjoy helping adolescents find a balance between being their own person and feeling connected to their families. And with the understanding that we are all trying to do our best, I find that I am able to help adults feel more at peace in their lives.

Hello! I’m so glad you’re here. I imagine you’re seeking therapy because something isn’t working as you’d hoped. I imagine you want change. Congratulations! That’s the first step towards somewhere new. If you choose to work with me I won’t view you (or your child) as a problem or an issue to be solved. As a trans/queer and neuroexpansive human, I don’t believe in boxes and value creative approaches to growth.

I bring presence, empathy, and a belief that healing happens when we feel seen, safe, and connected. My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and tailored to what works best for you. Therapy can feel heavy, but it doesn’t have to be cold. I show up as my full, human self, so you can too.

Keeping anxiety at bay is exhausting, while everyday stressors shoot fear throughout your body. You toss and turn at night only to face it all over again each morning. You want to enjoy life without so much internal noise, but aren’t sure where to turn. For some time now, you've known something needs to change, and traditional talk therapy has only gotten you so far. At this point, you know chronic anxiety isn't going away on its own.

Something feels off — but you can't quite put it into words. Maybe it's a heaviness you carry into every room, a pattern you keep repeating, or a sense of being disconnected from yourself or the people around you. You've tried to think your way through it or talk your way through it, but nothing is actually changing. I work with adults who feel stuck in exactly that place — overwhelmed, shut down, or emotionally tangled — and need a way into their experience that doesn't rely on forcing words.

Relationships can feel stuck, painful, and hard to untangle — especially when the same patterns keep repeating or something important has been broken. Whether you're working through conflict, rebuilding after infidelity, navigating divorce, or trying to understand your own patterns, this work matters. I specialize in relationships in all their complexity — couples, LGBTQ+ partnerships, polyamorous and non-traditional structures, and individuals exploring how they connect and love.

Ideally our everyday lives would provide the opportunities, relationships, and help we need. We are meant to run ideas past each other regularly to try to get to a better understanding, and it is often easier to care when others care with us. This isn’t so easy to do it alone, in our own heads. Sometimes life can be like a catch 22, things can get stuck, and our heads spin. Really looking at life with others can be hard if we don’t have the time, understanding, patience, compassion, or calm to do it. And some people have their own issues, or agenda, and may put that onto us.

Although I am constantly learning and evolving my therapeutic practice, the modalities I utilize most are cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based therapy, attachment theory, and motivational interviewing. FAQs - About Therapy and Counseling

How can I find a therapist in 55128?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
