My approach to therapy has been informed by my work with individuals, couples and families who have experienced varied and unique challenges. Despite these differences, there are common themes and desires: a sense of security and personal growth, resolving conflict, and building love and respect in marriages or other intimate relationships. Parents seek to manage modern pressures, multiple demands, and opportunities for their children. For those parents with scheduled parenting time, they seek a shared vision of their children's best interest - and shared goals in preparing their kids to meet life's obstacles with determination and resilience.

Hello! At some point or another, we all benefit from talking to another person to work through problems, explore who we are, or just get thoughts or feelings outside of our head. I'd love to be that external person for you! With an emphasis on human connection, our sessions may look different week to week. Some weeks there might be a focus on problem solving, others an exploration of patterns, and some may just be talking about things (we call this externalizing!).
From young kids to older adults, we face transitions in every stage of life. I'm here to listen without judgement and help you navigate anything life throws your way!

Many people reach out when something hasn’t quite made sense. Difficulty focusing, feeling overwhelmed, struggling in school or work, or questioning whether ADHD, autism in childhood or adulthood, or something else may be part of the picture.
In my work, evaluation is not about placing a label. It is about understanding you as a whole person. Your experiences, patterns, strengths, and the environments you navigate are carefully considered so you can move forward with clarity and direction.

I enjoy helping my clients make sense of difficult past experiences so they can move toward a more integrated, balanced, and authentic life. Healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. I approach therapy from a developmental perspective, meaning I carefully consider your specific life stage, history, and unique background to tailor our work together.

I have been working in the field of psychology for 20+ years. When people ask why I do the work I do, I usually respond, "because people are always interesting." I enjoy the process of getting to know someone's story and helping them to work towards understanding and change.

I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen, known, and supported. Many of my clients come to therapy carrying worry, stress, or exhaustion—whether from academic pressure, relationship stressors, life transitions, pregnancy shifts, or the realities of early motherhood. Others come because they’re tired of perfectionism, people-pleasing, or feeling like they have to hold everything together for everyone else. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more grounded, more hopeful, and more connected to the person you hope to be.

In session, I offer a space where your investment in yourself is met with active engagement. Together, we'll explore issues like work stress, life transitions, depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, dysphoria, or disordered eating. These often connect to self-worth, high expectations, trauma, or identity, and together we'll understand the patterns these experiences have created to support lasting change. Therapy is hard work, but I value a conversational, human connection and shared laughter. Lived experience in corporate leadership, multicultural trauma, parenting, and family addiction has shaped me, and I'd be honored to sup

Many of us are taught that if we’re strong enough, we should be able to handle life’s challenges on our own. Yet experiences like grief, loss, and major life transitions often carry deep emotions that are rarely given permission to be seen, heard, or expressed. These emotions can feel heavy, isolating, or overwhelming—especially when we fear burdening others. I provide a calm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore what you’re carrying and express your emotions openly and authentically. Together, we will navigate the difficult conversations and painful moments that are often avoided but necessary for healing and growth.

I’m a relational therapist who values authentic connection and helps clients feel empowered to build lives that feel aligned and fulfilling. However you’re arriving — you’re welcome here. We work with adults, couples, and teens navigating anxiety, stress, grief, relationship challenges, identity shifts, and life transitions. Many are seeking clarity, emotional steadiness, relief from persistent stress, or support through meaningful change — without being rushed, labeled, or treated like a diagnosis. In addition, licensed providers interested in full- or part-time, in-person or remote opportunities are welcome to reach out with inquiries about joining our team.

I support adults navigating the complexities of identity, relationships, and self-understanding. Many come to therapy feeling anxious, disconnected, or overwhelmed, struggling with perfectionism, life changes, stressful environments, relationship conflicts, high expectations, and the impact of traumas. These experiences may stem from family and relationship dynamics, intergenerational factors, and experiences of marginalization. Many are seeking a space where their cultural background, family dynamics, and lived experiences are understood, respected, and integrated into therapy, as these factors shape current challenges and growth.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.
Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.
What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?
Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
