I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples and families with a wide variety of mental health issues over the last 30 years. I have assessed and treated therapeutic issues such as conflicted family relationships, depression and suicidal thinking, anxiety and panic attacks, attention/concentration problems, mood instability and anger outbursts, victimization issues, oppositional and defiant behavior, criminal behavior, obsessive thinking, obsessive-compulsive behavior and substance abuse.
I have an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, but my primary therapeutic orientation is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I also complete psychological evaluations for the purpose of clarifying diagnoses, developing appropriate treatment plans, and providing relevant information for courts and other referral sources. I utilize a wide variety of psychological tests.
A significant portion of my practice is devoted to conducting psychological evaluations for courts and social service agencies.
