The Client is Always Priority. Therapy isn’t just about treating symptoms—it’s about helping people uncover their strengths and step into the life they were meant to live. As a veteran, I understand how past struggles shape our present and I believe in the power of resilience and redemption. I strive to create a safe and comfortable space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. My greatest joy comes from witnessing clients regain control over their lives—whether that means breaking free from addiction, strengthening relationships, or developing new ways to manage mental health.

It is my belief that people need truth to be emotionally and spiritually healthy. But I believe that the truth needs to be compassionately delivered with a heart full of grace. My sincere hope is that encouragement is evident in my counsel, whether I am visiting with a troubled married couple or an 8 year-old child who has been the victim of abuse. The identified desire of the client is the target of the counseling sessions and my goal to help each individual, couple or family experience freedom.

As a therapist, I believe empathy and trust build a foundation for my clients to achieve the change they are seeking. I believe structured sessions ease the concern of the unknown and provide my clients skills to achieve their goals and enjoy their life to their fullest potential. I also feel flexibility is important. I primarily work with individuals focusing on anxiety and depression related symptoms whether these are a chronic condition or related to life circumstances. We all can benefit from a supportive, judgment free, and empathic relationship.

My goal in working with clients is to provide support, compassion, and accountability as well as to offer resources and tools to empower individuals, increase their confidence, and further begin to identify and make progress in achieving their goals. I believe that treatment should not be conducted as a one size fits all approach; instead I desire to work in collaboration with clients to identify and progress in achievement of client specific goals through therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence based treatment and therapeutic modalities.

Are you struggling to make life work? Perhaps stuck in an addiction or habit that you can't seem to break. Are you struggling relationally? Do you wonder where God is in the midst of all your upset? No matter where life has taken you, there is hope for a brighter future. Life truly is amazing if you are willing to do the necessary footwork...and promise not to quit when the going gets tough. Healing can be a painful process but there is nothing like living in the freedom that comes as a result.

Welcome! I am a mother to six children ranging in ages 25 to 10. One in college, one serving her country and four keeping me busy at home. I am also a Combat medic Army veteran having served all over the world including beautiful Afghanistan. Before I would join the military, I was a 9th grade high school drop-out. Literally born on the floor of an old house in Florida. I have known poverty and abuse. The military changed my idea of who I could be.

"I've often seen life as a big 'school room' in which the lessons can be fascinating, fun, sometimes frustrating, often difficult, and even traumatic. I feel privileged to have served a wide range of individuals and couples, gay, straight, young or old, as they have pursued their journeys toward health, recovery, balance and personal growth. I offer support and reflection, skill building and guidance as people confront and resolve their issues, doing so with as much love, compassion and humor as possible.
