I know accessing therapy services can be difficult, especially when it feels the most necessary. I believe that our world around us can shape our experiences and mental health, and I strive to work from an anti-racist and intersectional feminist viewpoint. I work from a person-centered perspective, meaning I want to get to know and understand you as an individual. Only you know who you want to be, and I see it as my job to collaborate and provide new tools to get you there. I draw from various modalities, including Dialectic Behavior Therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic approaches.

I believe the relationship we build together is at the heart of successful therapy, so creating a safe and comfortable space is always my first priority. My goal is to help you feel at ease as we explore your strengths, process important life experiences, express your feelings, and discover healthy ways of coping. When working with children and teens, I take a team approach and regularly include parents in the process to support growth at home as well. Above all, I want every client to feel supported in building confidence and creating a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

I am currently at capacity and not able to take new clients at this time. Thanks! A client once reflected, "You help us have hard conversations." I help individuals, couples, and families talk about the stuff no one wants to talk about. Grief, loss, death, dying, moving to memory care, etc - these aren't dinner table conversations folks want to have. But we need to have them. That's where I come in. I am here to support folks going through hard things. Life transitions, grief and loss (death and non-death related), facing chronic or terminal illness, or general mental health concerns such as anxiety or depression.

Are you feeling worried all the time, gripped by sadness, or experiencing stress that feels unmanageable? Or perhaps navigating change and adversity against the backdrop of these unprecedented times? It is natural for intense feelings such as worry, depression, numbness, or panic to result. Sometimes, difficulties trigger changes in our behaviors and interests, or in our relationship to others or to ourselves. Whatever is bringing you to seek help, I want you to know that with the right support, things can feel manageable again. With skilled and culturally-sensitive understanding, you can move forward with greater confidence.

I believe in a non-judgmental, person-centered, positive approach in the counseling relationship, where the client feels comfortable enough to express their feelings and thoughts while examining factors which may be causing them pain, anxiety, or unhappiness. I also believe that individuals have the power within themselves to overcome these personal barriers to attain their full potential. My goal is to support you and give you tools to use along the way, and also in your future. There is light at the end of what may seem a dark tunnel, but together we will work to get you there.

I work with individuals who feel stuck or overwhelmed by personal, professional, or relationship challenges. They often struggle with managing emotions, navigating interpersonal dynamics, or coping with stress. These clients seek to understand and process their feelings, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain greater clarity in their lives. Their goals typically include enhancing self-awareness, improving relationships, and finding a sense of balance and fulfillment. I provide a supportive, collaborative space to help clients challenge unhelpful patterns and create actionable strategies that align with their values and goals.

Hi! I'm Amanda. I’m here to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, where you feel seen and supported. I work with individuals and couples who want a down to earth approach to explore who they are, build healthier relationships, navigate parenting, explore more about themselves, or who just need some extra support. I use a humanistic, relational approach, which means our connection and trust is at the core of our work together. We’ll use evidence-based techniques, but in a way that feels conversational and connected, not like a lecture.
