Most often I work with people seeking help with the common challenges of adult life: relationship/family issues; grief and loss; adult child recovery; depression; codependency; addictions; health concerns; career/financial challenges; and unfulfilled spiritual yearnings - drawing from cognitive-behaviorial, psychodynamic, and transpersonal methodology.
Adult suffering arises from life difficulties combined with outdated personality patterns which can overwhelm our 'authentic self'; create painful symptoms; and interfere with love and joy. Freedom from these engulfing patterns is what I consider the most important outcome for successful psychotherapy, even in the face of unavoidable painful life challenges.

Groups
On-going Adult Psychotherapy Group
This therapy group, with up to 8 members, is an adjunct to their individual psychotherapy with me, and has two 12 hour extended sessions each year with one overnight experience at a Retreat Center. I have been providing group therapy for over 30 years and believe that this combination of group and individual psychotherapy provides the most effective modality for personal development. I think of this approach as psychotherapy graduate school.
