Panic? Anxiety? Stress? Let's do this. I love to work with male clients, both adolescent and adult. I'm an apprentice of Jesus but I work with clients of all faith backgrounds. It would be my honor to help you navigate any issues you are dealing with. Whether you want EMDR, mindfulness, or something like CBT, I've got you covered. I can also speak into FOMO, minimalism, technology addiction, and a variety of other topics. I'm actively pursuing other trainings and education to try to be the best therapist I can be.

I am genuine and value making my clients feel comfortable right away. Therapy can be scary and anxiety inducing. I don't want that. Building a therapeutic relationship is most important to me and I believe the healing comes once you find that place where you can put it all out there and feel safe about it. I hope to be that safe space for all of my clients.

All of us have a story– and we all tell stories. I believe that the stories we tell about ourselves and others hold a heavy hand in our quality of life and the way that we view the world around us. I am passionate about counseling because I yearn to create space where others feel safe to explore and discover their authentic self– to feel heard, seen, and known. Throughout our sessions, I will create space for every part of you and will help you to discover and re-write the stories that no longer serve you. Together, we will collaborate to design a plan that is tailored specifically to support your individual needs and goals.

I believe that counseling doesn't come with a manual or a "cookie-cutter" approach. You are a person with feelings and thoughts unique to your own concerns and issues. I don't approach our counseling relationship based on your diagnosis or societal labels. I try to assist according to how you see your world and recognize that we all make different choices. We don't have to be held captive to a mental illness and I will help you try to find the "keys to those locks".

I’ve been in the counseling field for 16 years, spending that time listening to people’s stories, helping them work through pain, and guiding them toward something better. My approach to therapy is grounded in real conversations and creating a judgment-free space where you can feel understood and supported.

I view therapy as a collaborative process in which I work closely with clients to achieve goals, develop a deeper presence of health and wellbeing, and work through whatever challenges may be present. My approach to therapy is holistic and strength-based, and I believe that every human being has the capacity to grow and heal. I create a safe, supportive environment for my clients to create the changes they desire. In addition to being a licensed counselor, I am also a registered yoga teacher. I enjoy using both traditional western therapy models and eastern mind-body methods with my clients for optimal success.

Everyone struggles with something and deserves to have someone to process life with. Therefore, my ideal client understands that and is willing to be vulnerable with a trusted person. My ideal person is someone who wants to achieve their ideal self or needs help with processing life’s stressors and is willing to put in the work to achieve that goal. I also want my clients to give themselves grace and know that this process is a journey.

If you’re reading this, you may be carrying more than you let on—whether it’s depression, trauma, family or relationship stress, or concerns about alcohol, drugs, or other substance use. Many people come to me feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or unsure how to break the patterns that keep pulling them back. You don’t have to sort through that alone. Most clients begin to notice small but meaningful shifts within the first month—feeling a bit lighter, more grounded, and more in control. As we continue, those changes grow stronger and more sustainable.

Hi, I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support — whether it’s a small step or a huge leap — takes real courage. If life feels messy, overwhelming, or hard to navigate alone, therapy can give you the grounding, clarity, and tools you need. I work with people moving through major life transitions, the challenges of early parenthood, complicated parent–child dynamics, relationship struggles, trauma, self-worth concerns, and emotions that feel difficult to name or express. You deserve space to slow down, understand yourself, and feel supported.

You wish there was someone who understood you; someone you could talk to without being judged or made to feel bad about your feelings. You’ve suffered a great loss and you haven’t been the same since. You’re wondering if the pain will ever go away and if you’ll ever be happy again. Life has been hard and you’ve questioned if it’s even worth living. You’re bombarded with mental images, thoughts, or reminders about a trauma that won't seem to go away. Grief and trauma have a way of changing our entire world. You desperately want to feel hope again. Or maybe you're experiencing stress and worry about other major life transitions.

I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, and low self-esteem—often all at once. Many of my clients are insightful and capable, yet feel stuck in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or unhealthy relationship patterns. With years of experience working both inpatient and outpatient at Ohio State's psychiatric hospital, followed by private practice, I help clients understand the roots of these struggles, and build up emotional resilience. My goal is to support people in feeling more confident, grounded, and secure—so they can show up in their lives and relationships with clarity, self-trust, and authenticity.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
