When we enter therapy, we are hurting, suffering, and often do not know what to do. During therapy we can explore our problems and our psychological life to discover ways to transcend our current problems and get to know ourselves more fully. In this process we can grow our inner strength and learn new ways to address the challenges of life in a way that fosters resilience and brings a sense of wholeness to our personality.

I work with women and children because I am fiercely protective of these populations in my own life. There is a term in the therapy world called “wounded healer.” This term is from Carl Jung and research suggests that upwards of 70% of counselors and psychologist have had their own “wounding” experiences which led them to their career path. I work with these populations because my counselors and psychologists growing up helped me see through the fog of abusive parenting and romantic relationships. They helped me grow and heal, doing the only thing that they could- providing a safe space for me to cry, vent, be sorrowful, and share.

Are you stuck in negative thought spirals, harmful core beliefs, and difficulty moving on from painful memories? You don’t have to remain stuck in those patterns alone. Together, we’ll dive deeper underneath the anxious beliefs, discovering who you are at your core, and creating positive behavioral changes to embrace each part of yourself. I want to empower you to feel safer experiencing emotions that we typically shy away from and learn to work with our mind instead of against it. My counseling style can be described as warm, direct, kind, and humorous to also make counseling something you look forward to.

Accepting New Patients!!! Madeline Albright said, "It took a long time for me to develop a voice and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent." If you are looking to develop your voice and sense of self while overcoming the pain of trauma, I am here to help. Many times, we as women don't use our voice for fear of not being believed, heard, or understood. We keep our pain inside, and it's not healthy.

I love working with a variety of clients with a variety of needs. My general outlook is doing whatever I can to make the therapeutic relationship work so that my clients can feel safe enough to heal. I want for my clients to grow and become successful in achieving their goals so that when they leave counseling with me, they dont need counseling anymore. I want for them to know how to set healthy boundaries, to love themselves, and to be able to know how to cope with whatever life throws at you.
