The simple fact that we are all human beings means that we will experience the joy and pain that comes with being alive and living life. Most clients tend to seek a therapist while they are going through a difficult transition that often feels painful and sometimes lonely. As a therapist, I have learned that individuals tend to learn more about themselves, and experience more personal growth during these periods of transitions. Therefore, my favorite role as a therapist is to build a collaborative, supportive relationship with individuals that may be struggling with making decisions or adjusting to changes related to natural life transitions.
My practice centers around supporting individuals experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety as they are adjusting to a new phase of life or struggling with decisions regarding academics endeavors, career paths, friendships, dating relationships, substance abuse, or loss. I also enjoy working with couples regarding effective communication, co-parenting, blending families, infidelity or divorce.
Given the growing trend of integrating mental health with physical health, one niche of my practice is uniquely set in supporting women with infertility issues before pregnancy, health concerns during a pregnancy, and adjustment issues or post-partum depression after a pregnancy.
