My approach is compassionate and collaborative, blending evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to help you build and create meaningful change, gain new perspectives, and develop practical skills. Counseling isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths, uncover new ways of coping, and move toward the life you want to live. You don’t have to do it alone. Let’s take the next step together.

Do you find your child or teen struggling with behaviors, isolation, or trouble getting along with peers or family members? Have they lost interest in things that normally brought them joy, or expressed worrisome thoughts about changes or ongoing stressors in their life? Has their school performance suffered due to these symptoms? As a former teacher-turned-therapist, I have seen this struggle all too often. I am here to tell you, you and your child are not alone, and I can help! I understand the vulnerable experience children and teens go through in this phase of life, and it is important to help them identify and express emotions

We all have this image of how our lives should be, and when things don't perfectly align with that picture, it feels like we're failing. It's like we're constantly chasing this imaginary finish line and never quite fully reaching it. The pressures we put on ourselves, combined with the external pressures of work, family obligations, bills that need to be paid, and looming to-do lists, have us feeling overwhelmed and underwater. Mix in one or two of life's bigger curveballs, like a health scare, losing a loved one, or being laid off, and BAM! We no longer feel like we have any control over our own lives.

I am a LPCA and provide counseling services to teens, adults and the elderly. I believe that no matter what the age group, contentment with one’s life is valued by most (if not all) people. I believe that contentment is found primarily by focusing on the beneficial aspects of reality (rather than the detrimental). This type of thought focus/management is a technique found in forms of counseling such as CBT. As a former teacher, I particularly like CBT because once the skills are learned, clients become self reliant (in the sense that they can apply the learned skills to maintain their mental wellness throughout their lives).
