You may be experiencing pain or feeling depressed or just not feeling quite right, but you at least recognize that things in your life aren't how you want them to be. You need to want to explore your inner you and what may be causing your experience. Honesty is a must and it goes both ways in order to develop the trust needed to conquer the challenges ahead. Open willingness to learn and attempt new methods of thinking.

I have experience working with adults from a variety of different walks of life, facing a wide range of challenges. I enjoy helping people build a life that is lived with decisions made more closely to what is truly important to them. I have found in my practice that people who are going through a change in their life, or are considering a change, benefit from help clarifying their options and desires to aid in navigating transitions. These include life stage changes as well as grief and loss. I am currently only taking clients for in-person therapy.

My counseling philosophy is that to be a good counselor, I have to meet clients where they are at. I find that I can be most effective as a counselor when I get to be my authentic self, and that means that my clients can too! I strive to create a space for clients that is a judgment-free zone so that everyone who engages in a counseling relationship with me can feel safe, accepted, and valued for who they are. My ideal client is someone who is open-minded, motivated to obtain personal growth, and seeking real, lasting change in their lives... no matter what barriers or challenges lie ahead, we can face them head-on, together!

Hello! I am a warm, non-judgmental and real person. One of my basic tenants is we, as people, are doing the best we can, and sometimes our conscious or subconscious "plan" or “way” to take care of ourselves is just not working anymore. Sometimes we need to develop a new way, but that can be difficult or painful and we need help. The relationship with ourselves, family, friends and our community is a pillar to good health and well being. However things get in the way….like trauma, substance use, addiction, depression, anxiety, loneliness, illness, & fear. I want to support your concerns and help you improve your sense of wellbeing.

Throughout our life span we will encounter different challenges, transitions, and stresses. Most of them we will be able to navigate with the skills and wisdom we’ve learned or developed during our life. Sometimes, however, we encounter situations we don’t feel prepared for or have difficulty coping with. Or sometimes we have been carrying the same anxieties, the same feelings of unhappiness, the same discontents around for a long time and we are just ready to let them go.
