3rdchair believed a supportive community for young adults needed to exist. So, we looked around, and we did not see a unique place crafted to meet the needs our young adults are facing in today’s complex environment. Through that research and identifying their needs, we decided that this would be the place to champion young adults here in Michigan. We are a collective bunch of 25 counselors who specialize in counseling high school, college students, and 20-somethings. 3rdchair is a 501c3 nonprofit that ensures all young adults have access to counseling to get the help they need, regardless of their financial capacity.
Chances are a lot of our counselors have struggled with similar things, so we’ll strategically match you with one of our 25 counselors who can actually relate to and understand the situations you are going through. We’ve devoted our lives to helping young adults who might not have the support they need. This is our mission and we embrace it!
Can I afford this? The simple answer is YES! 3rdchair was founded so that young adults and families could have an option of where to go for counseling regardless of their financial situation. So even if you’re broke and you’ve never been here, this place is already yours. 3rdchair is paneled with several major insurance companies including Medicaid.
