About
How would you like to feel a sense of peace and well-being in spite of difficult circumstances and/or difficult people? Mindfulness-Based-Cognitive Therapy can strengthen your inner emotional core so that you rise above your external experiences. I am certified in Mindfulness-Based-Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and I have knowledge and experience in a variety of other therapeutic approaches as well, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Please contact me for a free 30 minute consultation.
I am trained in EMDR, treating trauma and low self esteem. I have been practicing mindfulness for 25 years; I completed 10 intensive mindfulness courses in Nepal, India, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and USA during the seven years I spent traveling abroad before becoming a therapist. In my free time I like to work on music, dance, visit friends, hike in the woods.
I tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize and learn about underlying problems, acquire coping skills to adjust certain behaviors and thoughts, and use evidence-based mindfulness techniques to improve your relationships and quality of life.
