I have worked with patients from a variety of walks of life: 4 years of age to 75 years of age. I walk alongside those that deal with anxiety, ADHD, marital challenges, behavior issues, depression, bi-polar, PTSD, substance use, and trauma for those who desire to make their goals a reality. I provide counseling for children ages 6 and up for those struggling with behaviors in school, at home and in the community. I provide a safe place where children can be themselves, adapt their life skills or "tools" and learn more to add to their toolbox in order to increase positive, healthy behaviors that assist them as they maneuver life.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering individual therapy for adults. I have experience in treating mood disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief and loss, and relationship issues. I tailor my approach according to the needs and strengths of the client, combining psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theories. I provide an attentive, honest, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients can increase insight and explore desired change.

As a licensed psychologist, I provide psychotherapy and psychoeducational assessment services for adults in TN (and states with PsyPact legislation). I have 15+ years experience working with young adults navigating college life. Common areas of practice include anxiety and depression management, identity development concerns, minority stress, and grief/loss. I have specialized training and practice supporting survivors of trauma through recovery. I am committed to providing affirming therapy services to those of marginalized identities and communities, including persons of color and LGBTIAQ folks.

I join with my clients in exploring pathways to change unhealthy thoughts, verbalization, and behavior and primarily focus on psychological assessments, I no longer accept insurance. Assessment fees begin at 500.00 per assessment with added costs dependent upon what is needed.

My approach to therapy is to respect each individual as a whole person. I believe each person knows himself or herself best. Loss of jobs, relationships, chemical addiction, life transitions, trauma, abuse and the stress of day to day living come with an array of thoughts and emotions, which at some points in our lives can become overwhelming. We start to feel like nothing can get better, and begin to self-destruct or stay stuck, out of fear of the unknown or poor habits. I use an eclectic approach, pulling together different types of therapies tailored to what would be most beneficial to the particular client.

There is a reason we do the things that we do and feel the way that we feel. All mental health issues are caused by us surviving and navigating this world to the best of our abilities given all the obstacles that can get in the way. Therapy is a science and an art. In better understanding the science and the question of “why” we do the things that we do can be a powerful tool in starting your healing journey. Once having this level of insight, therapy aims to not only heal you in the present but heal the deeper underlying issues that have caused things to get to this point.

Sessions are predominately held on weekday evenings with some variance for Therapy needs. All sessions are virtual/remote, not in person. Do you often feel worried, stressed or alone? I would love try to validate your worth by setting goals with you that makes you feel that you matter. I believe in all forms of self-care and putting in the work so you can hopefully have better quality of life. Life can be frustrating and full of obstacles so let's try to find a new path to create that gets you as close as possible to where you truly want to be. I have 35 years experience in counseling adults, youth and children, single or married on a variety of issues. Sixteen years ago I started Mustard Seed Ministries to provide clinically sound and spiritually based therapeutic counseling for all in need, particularly those marginalized by poverty. My office provides a safe, comfortable and confidential place for people to understand the thinking and unrealistic expectations which may have led them into their painful situation.
