Change — even when it’s positive — can feel unsettling. Whether you’re starting a new chapter, closing an old one, or feeling stuck somewhere in between, major life transitions can stir up unresolved pain, anxiety, self-doubt, or old patterns that no longer serve you. These shifts can also bring unprocessed trauma, relationship issues, and questions about your identity or self-esteem to the surface, leaving you overwhelmed or unsure of your next step.

I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, accepted, and safe enough to be yourself—even the parts you’re not so sure about yet. My style is warm, open, and non-judgmental, with room for humor and lightness alongside deep, meaningful work. I aim to create a space where you can exhale, be real, and explore what’s going on beneath the surface.

Life is hard and we sometimes need someone to walk with us through it. My passion is for women and men troubled with relationship issues or who struggle with depression and anxiety which can manifest in a number of ways including self harm, low self-esteem, eating disorders, and panic attacks. I get excited to work with couples helping them build intimacy and understanding of themselves and one another. I love working with motivated clients and it's my passion to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment to explore those tough and sometimes dark places with those who want to move forward and live the life they desire.

My ideal clients are struggling with anxiety, depression, work life balance, codependency, interpersonal issues, and/or phase of life stressors. For many clients, it can be difficult to identify their wants and needs, especially those who identify as high achieving, perfectionists, creatives and/or professionals. It's my job to help clients recognize and establish trust of themselves so that they can start achieving their goals.

Poet Geoffrey Chaucer wrote, "time heals all wounds." You're probably searching this site because you have discovered this is not the full truth. The path to healing requires focusing some time and attention on the wounds you carry. Woundedness is the soul's voice demanding to be attended to rather than quieted. The therapeutic relationship is a conduit through which you discover your innate ability to attend to your soul and ultimately find healing.

I am passionate about working with individuals looking to better their relationship with their body and explore how trauma gets stuck internally. Through lots of curiosity and play we will explore the ways our body holds information and what it needs to "discharge" the tension and energy. I strive to empower clients to believe they are capable of growing and healing the areas of their lives they feel stuck in. My goal is for people to leave my office feeling more connected to themselves and others and have a greater sense of autonomy and freedom.

I believe we are desperate to be both known and loved completely. Most of our experience, however, tells us this is impossible. How could anyone who truly knows me still love me? What kind of love am I really experiencing if they love me but don't know the truth about me? I believe our stories take shape in how we try (and often fail) to reconcile this seeming paradox.

You are here for a reason. Maybe the anxious thought spiral won’t stop, the emotions feel too overwhelming, or you’ve found ways to cope that are negatively impacting you or those you care about. Maybe you feel disconnected in your relationship, trapped in endless conflict, or wondering if it can even be saved. Perhaps you’re stuck in a stressful season of life, and simply searching for ways to balance everything life is throwing at you. Maybe all you know is things aren’t working and you’re not sure what different looks like. Here’s some good news: change is possible and it can begin now.

I am licensed in both California and Tennessee and provide virtual therapy to clients located anywhere in Tennessee through a secure Telehealth platform. As a former First Responder, I understand the unique challenges of working in high-stress environments and the impact trauma can have on daily life. The weight of these experiences can dim our internal light, creating waves of sadness, anxiety, fear, and even a sense of isolation. Taking the first step toward healing—reaching out to a therapist—can be difficult, but you don’t have to face it alone.

You've done the reading. You've done some therapy. You can name your patterns — and still, something hasn't shifted at the root. You feel deeply, hold it together beautifully, and carry far more than anyone knows. You long to be truly known, not just understood on the surface. You may be navigating trauma, a painful relationship history, anxiety, perfectionism, the weight of never feeling like enough, or a quiet ache you can't quite name. My work meets you there — body-based, experiential, unhurried, and aimed at actual healing, not just insight. You were made to heal, and I would be honored to accompany you there.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
