I love working with clients that are actively on the path of healing. I have extensive experience working with addiction (both process and substance) and trauma and welcome sober and newly sober people to step in to a process with me. I am an 'out of the box' therapist and work best with those that are open to doing their therapeutic work 'beyond the talking'. In addition to recovery I love to help people identify ways in which to be more fully who they know inside that they are - even if they don't have the fully formed picture of what that is yet!

It’s taken me a long time to write this because I desperately wanted my bio to communicate my heart for counseling, people, and the work that I do, but I also feel that words fall short when you’re trying to communicate something so intimate. First of all, you are brave for taking a step toward deeper healing, and I am honored that you might consider me as a support alongside you in your journey. Whether this is your first time seeking counseling or your 10th time, I hope to encourage and help empower you in your fight to become who you want to be. Whatever next step you decide to take, I hope the best for you.

I was raised in the diverse melting pot of New York City as a first-generation Chinese American, born to parents who emigrated from Hong Kong. After college, I moved to Nashville, where I had the wonderful privilege of traveling the world as a musician. These experiences afforded me the unique opportunity to hear thousands of people’s stories, from depression, suicide, grief, and addiction to hope found amidst it all. Through these stories, as well as my own, I came to realize the powerful gift of therapy and the difference that occurs when we come to understand our intrinsic worth and capacity to be seen, heard, known, and loved.

Have you ever thought, I’ll feel better when (fill in the blank) happens. However, every time you think about it the (fill in the blank) never seems to come or has come but you still feel unsettled. Moving through transitions can seem uncomfortable or chaotic at times but so can seeing a therapist. I’ll help you walk through the journey of your transition or current issue usually while wearing one of my many comfortable sweatshirts.

When stress, anxiety, or grief become too heavy to manage alone, therapy offers a supportive place to slow down and understand what’s beneath the overwhelm. In our work together, we’ll identify patterns, build practical skills, and create new pathways for coping and connection. My aim is for you to leave sessions feeling more grounded and empowered, with stronger relationships and a clearer sense of balance.

I love working with clients who have a readiness to gain greater self awareness, and those who have a deep desire to know and accept themselves. I have a heart for working with individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as those who have ADHD/ASD. As a member of these communities myself I know that many of us were taught to dislike ourselves or to try and blend in and I hope to offer each client who steps into my office a sense of safety and understanding.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, low self-worth, and major life transitions. I also specialize in grief, trauma, and substance use—whether you're personally struggling or supporting someone who is. When I mention "trauma," I don’t just mean the big, obvious events. Trauma can come from experiences like divorce, emotional neglect, chronic illness, pregnancy loss, or feeling abandoned. If something in your story still feels heavy, overwhelming, or unresolved, it matters. All you need to begin is a willingness to show up. From there, we walk the path together.

I am a trauma therapist and love working with queer folks, creatives, and neuro-spicy minds. I am affirming to poly/enm, kink, and all genders/sexual identities - you are seen and celebrated here! I specialize in childhood trauma and dysfunction, religious trauma and deconstruction, sexual and relational trauma. You may be experiencing shame, guilt, or believe you're too much and not enough all at once. While we can't erase the hard things that have happened to you, you're not defined by your hardest days nor do they determine what you’re capable of achieving.

I support adults and adolescents experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating, developmental trauma and family-of-origin issues, emotional neglect, anxiety, and depression. Many clients come to therapy hoping to “feel better” or “get rid of” anxiety, depression, or other distressing emotions. Along with developing effective coping skills to reduce unwanted symptoms, I help clients understand how past experiences shape the present, integrate these insights, and build confidence in their ability to sit with difficult emotions.
