I am passionate about helping couples create deeper connection than they ever knew possible. I also enjoy working with individuals in all stages of life. My favorite moments are when a client says, "This is new." Many enter counseling feeling stuck in old patterns, and new experiences provide hope for healing. My practice is currently full for regular weekly clients. However, I specialize in 3-day weekend intensives with couples and I take on 1-2 new couples (from in- or out-of-state) per month for this work. Follow up work is required after the 3 days in order to continue momentum and create lasting change.

Along the way I’ve learned that a deeper understanding of self develops from a deeper understanding of the “stuff” that has shaped how we think, feel, and relate to the world. Often this "stuff" is projected onto us, developed over time through experiences, and reinforced. Causing us to then engage in behavioral patterns that may no longer be working for us, like overthinking, ruminating, shutting down or avoiding (to name a few). If you're reading this then I imagine there is a part of you that is ready to break free from these patterns and instead, dive into understanding how you got here in the first place. Let's do it together.

Growing up with a multicultural and bilingual upbringing, I’ve experienced firsthand how our cultures, personal histories, and the challenges we face influence how we navigate relationships and the world. The way we relate to others is often deeply shaped by where we come from and the wounds we've carried, and it’s this complexity that fuels my passion for working with people on their journey of healing and self-discovery.

Overwhelmed and stressed by the thought of being "Superwoman" again? Time after time, you find yourself rescuing others and putting others before you. Leaving absolutely no time for yourself. Tired of constantly being the "Strong One?" Leaving yourself feeling drained and unfulfilled. At work, you go above and beyond but it goes unnoticed. At home, your days are filled with tasks that take up your entire day but you still feel unappreciated. Personally, you have told yourself that staying busy, overextending yourself and being the "Strong One" equals your success, value and worth.

Seeking therapeutic support is a step toward healing and growth. It shows that you realize you don't have to walk alone and you are ready for change. I want to be that person that walks alongside you on your journey toward balance. We all need someone to talk to that can be a mirror, help us illuminate areas in our lives that may be hidden or unclear, and share skills that we can use to enhance our well-being. I have a heart for those dealing with life transitions, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career issues, grief and the effects of past trauma.

Welcome, and congratulations on taking this step on your journey! I see the courage and strength that have brought you this far, and I’m excited for the growth and healing ahead of you. I have a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy. Before I ever sat across from someone as a therapist, I went into the community with instructions to practice partnership and reciprocity, build capacity, create sustainable solutions, and always reflect to continue learning and growing. That is how I approach my work with clients as well.

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, low self-worth, and major life transitions. I also specialize in grief, trauma, and substance use—whether you're personally struggling or supporting someone who is. When I mention "trauma," I don’t just mean the big, obvious events. Trauma can come from experiences like divorce, emotional neglect, chronic illness, pregnancy loss, or feeling abandoned. If something in your story still feels heavy, overwhelming, or unresolved, it matters. All you need to begin is a willingness to show up. From there, we walk the path together.

Maya Angelou once said, “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” Changes, challenges and struggles are complex and take us out of our comfort zone. Too often we find it difficult to slow down, learn from and appreciate the journey of healing. My goal is for clients to help address those challenges, complexities and struggles whether it involves concerns with attachment, behavior regulation, family dynamics, infertility, parenting, racial identity or trauma as well as understand the meaning behind the behavior.

Therapy is for everyone. At some point in their life, most people find themselves in need of a little extra support - someone to listen without judgement, a space to process, and a non-judgmental relationship that can help them find their own answers. My goal as a therapist is to help create a warm, inviting environment where my clients feel comfortable and welcomed. My style is genuine and real. I believe that good therapy is a balance of building a warm, trusting relationship and acquiring practical skills for application.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
