Every person has a unique story, and I consider it a privilege to hear and understand it. Throughout my professional life, I have spent countless hours listening to people from all walks of life, and that experience has only deepened my belief that none of our stories are finished yet. While our past experiences shape us, they do not have to determine our future. The chapters that have already been written matter, and healing often requires us to understand and make sense of them. At the same time, your story is still being written, and you have the opportunity to influence what comes next.

Now providing EMDR! I work with children, teens, and adults who often feel different, overwhelmed, or misunderstood. Many come in struggling with anxiety, ADHD, big emotions, or the pressure to fit in, as well as those unsure of how to cope and move forward from a traumatic event/situation. In our work together, I create a supportive, affirming space where you can be yourself while learning practical strategies to manage emotions, improve focus, and navigate relationships. Over time, we build greater self-understanding, confidence, and a way of moving through life that feels more natural and sustainable. I now offer EMDR as well!

I work with individuals, couples, and parents who feel stuck in patterns that keep repeating. Conversations escalate, communication breaks down, and even when you’re trying, it’s hard to create lasting change. I help clients understand relationship patterns, navigate stress, and move forward with more clarity. I value walking clients through recovering from divorce. I also work with parents seeking to improve co-parenting and reduce conflict. My approach is structured and supportive, focused on real-life change. For those who desire it, I also offer faith-based counseling.

My education prepared me for any need that comes through my door but I especially enjoy working with families, children and adolescents with the many issues that can come up in a home. I believe that each family are the experts of their own home and I am only there temporarily to help them find solutions and focus in their struggles.

Challenges and struggles in life are a human experience. Sometimes navigating these events is confusing and overwhelming. It is okay to not have all the answers. Asking for help and guidance is a form of self care you deserve. Counseling offers a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings, your past and hopes for the future. Along the way finding insight, accessing your skills and inner strength will give you hope and motivation to continue on your journey. “Growth is never by mere chance. It is the result of forces working together.” James Cash Penney

I work best with clients who are ready to do the work — even if they are tired, uncertain, or unsure where to begin. Many of the people I meet are high-functioning on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or like they have lost sight of themselves along the way. Sometimes the hardest part is believing change is possible. When you are struggling to hold onto hope, I am honored to hold that hope with you until you can begin to carry it for yourself.

I work with men, women, and couples experiencing life transitions and crises. Many of my adult clients are not experiencing a crisis currently. Still, they are trying to unravel the effects of a dysfunctional childhood or lost relationship, which might show up today as hypervigilance, depression, anger, or reactivity. My approach incorporates healing for the mind, soul, and body. Trauma rewires the brain for survival, and many of my clients are ready to quit living in survival mode and re-train their brains to live authentically.

If you've ever thought, "Why do I keep ending up in the same relationship patterns?" you're not alone. Whether you're dating, building new friendships, navigating a long-term partnership, or healing after a breakup, relational stress can deeply impact your mental health. You might find yourself overthinking texts, fearing rejection, pulling away when things get close, choosing emotionally unavailable partners, or struggling to maintain meaningful friendships. These patterns can feel confusing, but they can change.

Please note: I currently have a waitlist for ongoing appointments. Feel free to reach out, as availability can change. You’re the one who holds it together for everyone else—but lately, it’s exhausting. On the outside, you seem capable and put-together. But internally, your mind keeps going, you feel on edge, or you notice the same patterns showing up no matter how much insight you have. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions—especially those who are used to being the strong one but are ready to feel supported themselves. Many of my clients are self-aware, yet still feel stuck.

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
