I specialize in couple, marital, and family therapy, and work with clients dealing with miscommunication, conflict, infidelity, divorce, bereavement/loss, trauma/abuse, stress, anxiety, and depression. I have 35+ years of clinical practice with individuals, couples, & families, and 25 years of teaching & supervision as UF professor in counseling education.
My approach with clients is strength-based, and is drawn from multiple perspectives and practices to help clients achieve their desired change and focus in therapy. Along with many years of teaching and supervision, I have added training in Gottman Couple Therapy (Level 3), trauma-informed therapies like EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS)
