I’m a seasoned professional in the Mental Health and Behavioral Health field. I use a solutions based therapeutic approach to help clients see their mental health journey as nonlinear. I believe we all have the ability to heal through our uniqueness and perceived weaknesses, but with support you can identify how self-help is through self-awareness. It is my hope that we can work together in walking that path to peace, self-reflection, and healing.

I'm very grateful to my patients for trusting me with their stories and giving me a chance to help them. I'm honored by that trust. I know how difficult it is to ask for help. I will try to help you as best I can. I have had a lot of experience with all kinds of adult patients in very difficult situations and settings. You don't have to continue to suffer alone. Please call me or any of these other professionals if you are suffering. There are many good people on here. You deserve better.

My mission is to help you rediscover the wisdom, clarity, and truth already within you. I believe every person has the innate ability to remember, recover, and honor their authentic self — and when that happens, life naturally becomes lighter, more aligned, and filled with abundant joy. Since 2003, I have provided research-based, holistic, and creative counseling to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Through these decades of service, I’ve gained deep insight into the many challenges people experience throughout their lives. More importantly, I have witnessed the extraordinary, intrinsic capacity we have to heal.

Many people I work with are high-functioning on the outside and anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted on the inside. If you’re dealing with anxiety, stress, burnout, panic symptoms, overthinking, or rumination, you’re not alone and you don’t have to white-knuckle your way through it. I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults who want practical tools and deeper insight into patterns that keep repeating.

Slay mama! You found my profile! I value creating a space where we will explore who the villain of your story is, whether it be feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or something else. While I enjoy working with everyone, as a queer therapist, I specialize in working with queer/trans teens & adults. I appreciate creating a comfortable & geeky space where you can show up as yourself. Sometimes that looks like discussing your OCs and other times it means watching real housewives and how your partner can be just like Meredith Marks.

Thank you for considering me as your personal mental health therapist and emotions coach. Over the last few years, we have collectively endured traumatic, distressing, and challenging times that have reshaped how we view the world and how we choose to move forward within it. For many, this has meant clinging to familiar beliefs for comfort. For others, the weight of trauma, hopelessness, and fatigue has left them feeling stuck, unable to access their inner strengths or resilience. I believe that in those moments, we all need someone to help guide us back from the darkness into the light. I want to be that beacon of light for you.

I am encouraged by the research that talks about how our brain does not stop growing, and there are things we can do to encourage brain growth such as struggling with new and challenging information. This may be learning to play an instrument or learning to speak a foreign language. This is good news for us intellectually and the same principle applies emotionally. We do have the capacity to grow, and change and learn new ways to think, and I have tools that will help you in this process. I would love to witness your courage in this journey.

As a parent, there is nothing more upsetting than seeing your child in distress. And when your child is in distress, it effects the whole family. The challenges kids face today are unique and plentiful. Reactions from kids such as anxiety, depressed mood and behavioral outbursts are common. As a therapist, my goal is to help kids navigate these challenges and reactions by providing them with successful coping and communication skills. By working with your child to enhance his peer and familial relationships, my goal is to benefit the whole family through reducing stress.

Hi, I'm Toli and I'm here to help you move through the stuck-points that have been holding you back! Maybe you have come to the conclusion that it's time to address trauma from an old chapter of your life that just keeps popping up in your present. You may be questioning your sexual orientation or gender identity and could use a non-judgmental supporter to accompany you on your journey. Whatever the case may be, I would be honored to play a role in your life story!

Are you a neuro-diverse person struggling in a world designed for a different brain (or do you suspect you are)? Is it hard for you to "do the thing" even if it's something that you feel "should" be easy? Are lingering effects from trauma holding you back? For these issues, I try to find creative solutions to therapy based on your needs, which might include mindfulness activities based on your interests, therapeutic game play, creating concrete goals and plans, and/or following your lead to find the best evidence-based practice that will work for you.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
