I am a Somatic Psychotherapist with a focus on helping to build resilience and regulation in ones nervous system. This allows for an organic shift in dealing with life’s stresses whether it comes from current stressors or from traumas of the past as far back as utero (Developmental Trauma). This positively impacts emotional, physical and spiritual well being. I like working with adults who are in transition, who are struggling in their relationship, and/or who continue to have the after effects of traumas in their lives. It is my belief that wounding begins in relationship and therefore needs to be healed in relationship.
Safe touch is an important part of this work. This combined with talk and action methods facilitate change. I have studied many things over my many years in practice. I use Somatic Experiencing (a trauma therapy), Touch Skills for Trauma, Lifespan Integration, Psychodrama and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy amongst other modalities.
My commitment to my own personal growth allows me to be increasingly present to you. And I am continuously exploring new modalities which increases my skill set as a therapist and as a human being. I am committed to helping you achieve your goals and dreams. I look forward to working with you.
