In my years of experience working with the adolescent population, I’ve came to the realization that this generation is navigating a world far different than the one I once knew at their age. They challenge our systems and pre-conceived notions of how things “should” be. Adolescents often feel alone, misunderstood, and confused during this period of immense growth.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist. An high honors graduate of Princeton University, I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Florida at Gainesville with distinction. I received of the National Institute of Mental Health postdoctoral grant at Florida State University. I was awarded and outstanding research award from the Florida Psychological Association and have been named an Outstanding Young Woman in America. For twenty years, I have practiced in a variety of public settings. I serve on the hospital staff of Hollywood Memorial Hospital System, Westside Regional Medical Center, and Plantation General Hospital.

I have worked with individuals, couples and families for over 25 years in the same location. My approach is based upon your needs, but clinically speaking, I have a cognitive-behavioral orientation and family systems perspective. Most of my day I am helping people deal better with their anxiety and stress, sadness, grief, anger, work issues and relationships. I am teaching coping skills, and helping people become better versions of themselves. I generally treat persons individually from the ages of 18-up. Couples counseling is also an area of great interest and experience for me.

My private practice is focused exclusively on psychotherapy. The majority of my training has emphasized children and adolescents, with a significant amount of family and couples therapy as well.
