The relationships we form with intimate partners and ourselves are vulnerable and very often confusing and scary. My goal is to help you create secure attachments, explore and manage anxiety and fears, increase self-esteem, and improve connection within yourself and loved ones. Many that I work with have experienced sexual, childhood, or relationship trauma that can cause anxiety, undesired attachments, difficulty to regulate emotions, and connections that do not feel fulfilling. You may feel lost and vulnerable within your relationship with yourself and your partner. You deserve a safe space to express and explore these dynamics.

There are times in life when everything feels overwhelming, leaving you unsure of your next step. As the weight of it all continues to build, you recognize the need to process your thoughts and shift your perspective. If this resonates with you, it’s time to pause and consider therapy—a space where you can learn to express and identify your needs, regain control, and build a life that truly works for YOU.

Let's face it: life is tough. If you are struggling with anxiety, feelings of hopelessness, or a lack of direction, there isn't anything wrong with you - that means you are a human. The good news is that you already have it in yourself to overcome these challenges. Working with several approaches, I help clients with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relational issues.

I believe that leading a fulfilling life includes giving ourselves the opportunity to heal from our past. Therapy can help us develop skills that are useful for navigating life's ups and downs. Getting help can be difficult when dealing with mental illness or difficult circumstances. Feelings of avoidance, exhaustion, low self-esteem, shame, guilt, isolation, and other difficult emotions can prevent us from knowing what the right steps are or reaching out to loved ones for support. I would be honored to navigate these emotions with you through a variety of clinical orientations based on your needs.

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or fear caused by overwhelming changes, relationship concerns, or experiencing a difficult time in your life? Maybe it's something that "just doesn't feel right", or perhaps you just need extra support for a major life decision or situation. Have you been thinking about seeing a therapist, but not sure where to begin? Seeking help is a positive step in the right direction. Everyone experiences challenging times, however, when life stressors become extremely overwhelming it is time to reach out for professional help.

I am passionate about working with people in the midst of life transitions, especially young adults. As we transition in life, our coping skills may become less effective and past traumas may assert a new influence in our lives. I specialize in helping individuals work through these transitions, however they may present, including coping with a range of symptoms related to things like anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

Life can be dysfunctional and although many of us learn how to function in this dysfunction there are times where it may become too much to walk in alone. Your life seems filled with constant thoughts of "I should have: said that differently, told them how I felt, spoke up for myself". You struggle with fears of judgment and expectations. Somedays it may seem like an impossible mission to get out of bed, shower, feed yourself or socialize with others. You struggle with persistent irrational thoughts that you are aware of but can't seem to make them stop.

I'm accepting new clients and take Aetna, United Health Care and Cigna insurances. This is my 20th year as a therapist helping adults heal from toxic relationships whether from childhood or adult experiences. I find that many adults get stuck in an unhealthy relationship cycle bc they weren't taught the emotional skills needed to make healthy social choices. Emotional neglect and abuse can also give us a negative belief about ourselves. Getting UNSTUCK often means learning healthy skills to improve our choices and our thoughts. I am trained in EMDR and EMI which helps resolve trauma experiences. Self pay rate is $150/session

Research proven techniques help you get your relationship out of the ditch, while upping the fun and fulfillment factor. "You're a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, do you see individuals?" Yes! My training includes hearing what's shaped you thus far in your life, as what is triggering you now may be linked to an earlier experience. This helps focus on the real issue, not only symptoms. "Does that make therapy a super long process?" Likely not...an initial session with me includes setting goals and forming plans for reaching them.

Hi there, Congrats on making it to this step! Looking into therapy can be overwhelming, whether it is your first time or your familiar with it. You may think, is this really for me? I am here to tell you that you are not alone in this journey. I believe therapy is for anyone and everyone. Whether you are going through a crisis or not, having someone unbiased to talk to can help. You have to find the right fit and I hope I can be that, but if not I would love to provide you with other resources. I believe in making therapy an accepting and safe place that provides compassion, honesty, and focusing on Progress rather than Perfection.

Each morning, you wake up with anxiety and depression weighing heavily upon you, despite fervent prayers for relief. You know that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but you feel a storm of worry inside you anyway. The storm within persists, leaving you feeling disconnected from loved ones and the peace you seek with God. You haven’t been able to blend your faith with practical steps toward healing. Seeking a balance where the spiritual journey and emotional well-being walk hand in hand is something that has eluded you. You long to fortify your relationships and deepen your connection to God.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
